Numbers 3

This is the account of the family of Aaron and Moses at the time the Lord spoke to Moses at Mount Sinai.

The names of the sons of Aaron were Nadab the firstborn and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Имена сыновей Харуна: Надав, его первенец, и Авиуд, Элеазар и Итамар.

Those were the names of Aaron’s sons, the anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests.

Это имена сыновей Харуна, помазанных священнослужителей, которых он посвятил, чтобы они были священнослужителями.

Nadab and Abihu, however, died before the Lord when they made an offering with unauthorized fire before him in the Desert of Sinai. They had no sons, so Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.

Но Надав и Авиуд умерли перед Вечным, когда принесли Ему чуждый огонь^[a] в Синайской пустыне. У них не было сыновей, и лишь Элеазар с Итамаром были священнослужителями при жизни их отца Харуна.

The Lord said to Moses,

Вечный сказал Мусе:

“Bring the tribe of Levi and present them to Aaron the priest to assist him.

– Приведи род Леви и представь их священнослужителю Харуну, чтобы они помогали ему.

They are to perform duties for him and for the whole community at the tent of meeting by doing the work of the tabernacle.

Пусть они исполняют при шатре встречи обязанности за Харуна и за всё общество, совершая службу при священном шатре.

They are to take care of all the furnishings of the tent of meeting, fulfilling the obligations of the Israelites by doing the work of the tabernacle.

Пусть они заботятся о всей утвари шатра встречи и исполняют обязанности за исраильтян, совершая службу при священном шатре.

Give the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they are the Israelites who are to be given wholly to him.^[a]

Отдай левитов Харуну и его сыновьям – они должны быть полностью переданы ему из всех родов исраильтян.

Appoint Aaron and his sons to serve as priests; anyone else who approaches the sanctuary is to be put to death.”

Поставь Харуна и его сыновей, чтобы они были священнослужителями. Любой посторонний, который приблизится к святилищу, должен быть предан смерти.

The Lord also said to Moses,

Ещё Вечный сказал Мусе:

“I have taken the Levites from among the Israelites in place of the first male offspring of every Israelite woman. The Levites are mine,

– Я взял левитов из всех родов исраильтян вместо первенцев мужского пола, рождённых от каждой исраильтянки. Левиты – Мои,

for all the firstborn are mine. When I struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, I set apart for myself every firstborn in Israel, whether human or animal. They are to be mine. I am the Lord.”

потому что все первенцы – Мои. Когда Я умертвил всех первенцев в Египте, Я освятил Себе всех первенцев в Исраиле – и людей, и животных. Они должны быть Моими. Я – Вечный.

Перепись левитов

The Lord said to Moses in the Desert of Sinai,

Потом Вечный сказал Мусе в Синайской пустыне:

“Count the Levites by their families and clans. Count every male a month old or more.”

– Пересчитай левитов по семьям и кланам. Пересчитай всех людей мужского пола возрастом от месяца и старше.

So Moses counted them, as he was commanded by the word of the Lord.

Кланы мераритов:

Вот левитские кланы по их семьям.

To Gershon belonged the clans of the Libnites and Shimeites; these were the Gershonite clans.

От Гершона произошли кланы ливнитов и шимеитов: это кланы гершонитов.

The number of all the males a month old or more who were counted was 7,500.

Всех перечисленных мужчин возрастом от месяца и старше было семь тысяч пятьсот человек.

The Gershonite clans were to camp on the west, behind the tabernacle.

Кланы гершонитов должны были ставить лагерь на западе, позади священного шатра.

The leader of the families of the Gershonites was Eliasaph son of Lael.

Вождём семей гершонитов был Элиасаф, сын Лаила.

At the tent of meeting the Gershonites were responsible for the care of the tabernacle and tent, its coverings, the curtain at the entrance to the tent of meeting,

При шатре встречи заботе гершонитов были вверены священный шатёр и его покрытия, завеса к входу в шатёр,

the curtains of the courtyard, the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard surrounding the tabernacle and altar, and the ropes—and everything related to their use.

завесы двора, завеса входа во двор, который вокруг священного шатра и жертвенника, и верёвки её, со всеми их принадлежностями.

To Kohath belonged the clans of the Amramites, Izharites, Hebronites and Uzzielites; these were the Kohathite clans.

От Каафа произошли кланы амрамитов, ицхаритов, хевронитов и узиилитов: это кланы каафитов.

The number of all the males a month old or more was 8,600.^[b] The Kohathites were responsible for the care of the sanctuary.

Всех мужчин возрастом от месяца и старше было восемь тысяч шестьсот^[b] человек. Заботе каафитов было вверено святилище.

The Kohathite clans were to camp on the south side of the tabernacle.

Каафитские кланы должны были ставить лагерь с южной стороны священного шатра.

The leader of the families of the Kohathite clans was Elizaphan son of Uzziel.

Вождём семей каафитских кланов был Элицафан, сын Узиила.

They were responsible for the care of the ark, the table, the lampstand, the altars, the articles of the sanctuary used in ministering, the curtain, and everything related to their use.

Их заботе были вверены сундук^[c], стол, светильник, жертвенники, утварь святилища, которой пользуются при служении, завеса и все принадлежности к ней.

The chief leader of the Levites was Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest. He was appointed over those who were responsible for the care of the sanctuary.

Главным вождём левитов был Элеазар, сын священнослужителя Харуна. Он стоял над теми, чьей заботе было вверено святилище.

To Merari belonged the clans of the Mahlites and the Mushites; these were the Merarite clans.

От Мерари произошли кланы махлитов и мушитов: это кланы мераритов.

The number of all the males a month old or more who were counted was 6,200.

Всех перечисленных мужчин возрастом от месяца и старше было шесть тысяч двести человек.

The leader of the families of the Merarite clans was Zuriel son of Abihail; they were to camp on the north side of the tabernacle.

Вождём семей мераритских кланов был Цуриил, сын Авихаила. Они должны были вставать лагерем с северной стороны священного шатра.

The Merarites were appointed to take care of the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts, bases, all its equipment, and everything related to their use,

Мераритам было велено заботиться о брусьях священного шатра, его поперечинах, столбах, основаниях, всей его оснастке со всеми принадлежностями

as well as the posts of the surrounding courtyard with their bases, tent pegs and ropes.

и о столбах окружающего двора с их основаниями, шатровыми кольями и верёвками.

Moses and Aaron and his sons were to camp to the east of the tabernacle, toward the sunrise, in front of the tent of meeting. They were responsible for the care of the sanctuary on behalf of the Israelites. Anyone else who approached the sanctuary was to be put to death.

Муса, Харун и его сыновья ставили лагерь к востоку от священного шатра, к восходу, перед шатром встречи. Они должны были заботиться о святилище за исраильтян. Любого постороннего, который приближался к святилищу, нужно было предать смерти.

The total number of Levites counted at the Lord’s command by Moses and Aaron according to their clans, including every male a month old or more, was 22,000.

Всего левитов, которых Муса и Харун исчислили по повелению Вечного, по их кланам, всех мужчин возрастом от месяца и старше, было двадцать две тысячи человек.

Замена исраильских первенцев левитами

The Lord said to Moses, “Count all the firstborn Israelite males who are a month old or more and make a list of their names.

Вечный сказал Мусе:

– Посчитай всех исраильских первенцев мужского пола от месяца и старше и составь список их имён.

Take the Levites for me in place of all the firstborn of the Israelites, and the livestock of the Levites in place of all the firstborn of the livestock of the Israelites. I am the Lord.”

Я – Вечный, отдели Мне левитов вместо всех исраильских первенцев, а также весь скот левитов вместо всего первородного от скота исраильтян.

So Moses counted all the firstborn of the Israelites, as the Lord commanded him.

Муса исчислил всех первенцев других родов исраильтян, как повелел ему Вечный.

The total number of firstborn males a month old or more, listed by name, was 22,273.

Всего первенцев мужского пола от месяца и старше, перечисленных по именам, было двадцать две тысячи двести семьдесят три человека.

The Lord also said to Moses,

Ещё Вечный сказал Мусе:

“Take the Levites in place of all the firstborn of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites in place of their livestock. The Levites are to be mine. I am the Lord.

– Возьми левитов вместо всех первенцев исраильтян и скот левитов вместо их скота. Левиты должны быть Моими. Я – Вечный.

To redeem the 273 firstborn Israelites who exceed the number of the Levites,

Чтобы выкупить двести семьдесят три исраильских первенца, которые превышают число левитов,

collect five shekels^[c] for each one, according to the sanctuary shekel, which weighs twenty gerahs.

собери за каждого по шестьдесят граммов серебра^[d].

Give the money for the redemption of the additional Israelites to Aaron and his sons.”

Отдай серебро за выкуп Харуну и его сыновьям.

So Moses collected the redemption money from those who exceeded the number redeemed by the Levites.

Муса собрал выкуп у тех, кто превысил число выкупленных левитами.

From the firstborn of the Israelites he collected silver weighing 1,365 shekels,^[d] according to the sanctuary shekel.

У первенцев исраильтян он собрал более шестнадцати килограммов серебра^[e].

Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and his sons, as he was commanded by the word of the Lord.

Муса отдал выкуп Харуну и его сыновьям, как ему повелел Вечный.
