Verse 1

These were the priests and Levites who returned with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and with Joshua:

Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,

Amariah, Malluk, Hattush,

Verse 7

Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah and Jedaiah.

These were the leaders of the priests and their associates in the days of Joshua.

Саллу, Амок, Хилкия и Иедая.

Это вожди священнослужителей и их собратьев во времена Иешуа.

Verse 8

The Levites were Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and also Mattaniah, who, together with his associates, was in charge of the songs of thanksgiving.

Из левитов были Иешуа, Биннуи, Кадмиил, Шеревия, Иуда, а ещё Маттания, который со своими собратьями отвечал за песни благодарения.

Verse 9

Bakbukiah and Unni, their associates, stood opposite them in the services.

Бакбукия и Унни, их собратья, стояли во время служений напротив них.

Verse 10

Joshua was the father of Joiakim, Joiakim the father of Eliashib, Eliashib the father of Joiada,

Иешуа был отцом Иоакима, Иоаким – отцом Элиашива, Элиашив – отцом Иояды,

Verse 11

Joiada the father of Jonathan, and Jonathan the father of Jaddua.

Иояда – отцом Иоханана^[a], а Иоханан – отцом Иаддуа.

Verse 12

In the days of Joiakim, these were the heads of the priestly families:

of Seraiah’s family, Meraiah;

of Jeremiah’s, Hananiah;

Во времена Иоакима главами семейств священнослужителей были:

из семьи Сераи – Мерая;

из семьи Иеремии – Ханания;

Verse 13

of Ezra’s, Meshullam;

of Amariah’s, Jehohanan;

из семьи Узайра – Мешуллам;

из семьи Амарии – Иоханан;

Verse 14

of Malluk’s, Jonathan;

of Shekaniah’s,^[c] Joseph;

из семьи Маллуха – Ионафан;

из семьи Шехании – Юсуф;

of Harim’s, Adna;

of Meremoth’s,^[d] Helkai;

Verse 21

Verse 22

The family heads of the Levites in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, Johanan and Jaddua, as well as those of the priests, were recorded in the reign of Darius the Persian.

Главы семейств левитов были переписаны в дни Элиашива, Иояды, Иоханана и Иаддуа, а священнослужители – во время царствования Дария Персидского^[b].

Verse 23

The family heads among the descendants of Levi up to the time of Johanan son of Eliashib were recorded in the book of the annals.

Главы семейств из потомков Леви были записаны в летописи до времени Иоханана, внука Элиашива.

Verse 24

And the leaders of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua son of Kadmiel, and their associates, who stood opposite them to give praise and thanksgiving, one section responding to the other, as prescribed by David the man of God.

А вождями левитов были Хашавия, Шеревия, Иешуа, сын Кадмиила, и их собратья, которые стояли напротив них, чтобы воздавать хвалу и благодарения, – один хор напротив другого, как предписано Давудом, человеком Всевышнего.

Verse 25

Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon and Akkub were gatekeepers who guarded the storerooms at the gates.

Маттания, Бакбукия, Авдий, Мешуллам, Талмон и Аккув были привратниками, которые стерегли хранилища при воротах.

Verse 26

They served in the days of Joiakim son of Joshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor and of Ezra the priest, the teacher of the Law.

Dedication of the Wall of Jerusalem

Они несли свою службу во времена Иоакима, сына Иешуа, сына Иехоцадака, и во времена наместника Неемии и Узайра – священнослужителя и учителя Таурата.

Verse 27

At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, the Levites were sought out from where they lived and were brought to Jerusalem to celebrate joyfully the dedication with songs of thanksgiving and with the music of cymbals, harps and lyres.

На освящение иерусалимской стены из всех местностей, где они жили, были вызваны и приведены в Иерусалим левиты, чтобы радостно отпраздновать освящение с песнями благодарения под музыку тарелок, лир и арф.

Verse 28

The musicians also were brought together from the region around Jerusalem—from the villages of the Netophathites,

Певцы также собрались из окрестностей Иерусалима, и из селений нетофитян,

Verse 29

from Beth Gilgal, and from the area of Geba and Azmaveth, for the musicians had built villages for themselves around Jerusalem.

из Бет-Гилгала, и из областей Гевы и Азмавета, ведь певцы построили себе поселения вокруг Иерусалима.

Verse 30

When the priests and Levites had purified themselves ceremonially, they purified the people, the gates and the wall.

Когда священнослужители и левиты ритуально очистились, они очистили и народ, и ворота, и стену.

Verse 31

I had the leaders of Judah go up on top of^[e] the wall. I also assigned two large choirs to give thanks. One was to proceed on top of^[f] the wall to the right, toward the Dung Gate.

Я возвёл вождей Иудеи на стену и назначил два больших хора, чтобы они возносили хвалу и шли в шествии. Один из них пошёл по правой стороне стены к Навозным воротам.

Verse 32

Hoshaiah and half the leaders of Judah followed them,

along with Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam,

Judah, Benjamin, Shemaiah, Jeremiah,

Verse 35

as well as some priests with trumpets, and also Zechariah son of Jonathan, the son of Shemaiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Micaiah, the son of Zakkur, the son of Asaph,

и ещё несколько молодых священнослужителей с трубами: Закария, сын Ионафана, сына Шемаи, сына Маттании, сына Михея, сына Заккура, сына Асафа,

Verse 36

and his associates—Shemaiah, Azarel, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethanel, Judah and Hanani—with musical instruments prescribed by David the man of God. Ezra the teacher of the Law led the procession.

и его собратья – Шемая, Азарил, Милалай, Гилалай, Маай, Нетанил, Иуда и Ханани – с музыкальными инструментами, которые были определены Давудом, человеком Всевышнего. Возглавлял шествие Узайр, учитель Таурата.

Verse 37

At the Fountain Gate they continued directly up the steps of the City of David on the ascent to the wall and passed above the site of David’s palace to the Water Gate on the east.

У ворот Источника – прямо перед ними – они поднялись по ступеням Города Давуда на возвышение стены, прошли над домом Давуда и далее, до Водных ворот на востоке.

Verse 38

The second choir proceeded in the opposite direction. I followed them on top of^[g] the wall, together with half the people—past the Tower of the Ovens to the Broad Wall,

Второй хор пошёл в левую сторону, и я пошёл по стене за ними, а со мной половина народа – над Тандырной башней, к Широкой стене,

Verse 39

over the Gate of Ephraim, the Jeshanah^[h] Gate, the Fish Gate, the Tower of Hananel and the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Sheep Gate. At the Gate of the Guard they stopped.

и над воротами Ефраима мимо Старых ворот, Рыбных ворот, башни Хананила и башни Сотни к Овечьим воротам. У ворот Стражи они остановились.

Verse 40

The two choirs that gave thanks then took their places in the house of God; so did I, together with half the officials,

Затем два хора, которые возносили хвалу, заняли свои места в доме Всевышнего, а с ними и я вместе с половиной начальников

Verse 41

as well as the priests—Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Micaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah and Hananiah with their trumpets—

и священнослужителями – Элиакимом, Маасеей, Миниамином, Михеем, Элиоенаем, Закарией и Хананией с их трубами, –

Verse 42

and also Maaseiah, Shemaiah, Eleazar, Uzzi, Jehohanan, Malkijah, Elam and Ezer. The choirs sang under the direction of Jezrahiah.

а ещё с Маасеей, Шемаей, Элеазаром, Уззией, Иохананом, Малхией, Еламом и Езером. Хоры пели под руководством Иезрахии.

Verse 43

And on that day they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God had given them great joy. The women and children also rejoiced. The sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away.

В тот день они принесли великие жертвы и радовались, потому что Всевышний даровал им великую радость. Женщины и дети тоже радовались. И крики радости в Иерусалиме были слышны далеко вокруг.

Verse 44

At that time men were appointed to be in charge of the storerooms for the contributions, firstfruits and tithes. From the fields around the towns they were to bring into the storerooms the portions required by the Law for the priests and the Levites, for Judah was pleased with the ministering priests and Levites.

В тот же день были назначены люди, чьей заботе были вверены хранилища для пожертвований, первых плодов и десятин. С полей вокруг городов они должны были собирать в хранилища доли, назначенные Законом для священнослужителей и левитов, ведь иудеи были довольны их служением.

Verse 45

They performed the service of their God and the service of purification, as did also the musicians and gatekeepers, according to the commands of David and his son Solomon.

Они совершали служение своему Богу и служение очищения, как делали певцы и привратники – по повелениям Давуда и его сына Сулеймана.

Verse 46

For long ago, in the days of David and Asaph, there had been directors for the musicians and for the songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.

Ведь уже в древности, во времена Давуда и Асафа, были распорядители над певцами, которые пели песни хвалы и благодарения Всевышнему.

Verse 47

So in the days of Zerubbabel and of Nehemiah, all Israel contributed the daily portions for the musicians and the gatekeepers. They also set aside the portion for the other Levites, and the Levites set aside the portion for the descendants of Aaron.

А во времена Зоровавеля и Неемии весь Исраил давал ежедневные доли для певцов и привратников. Ещё они отделяли часть для остальных левитов, а левиты отделяли часть для потомков Харуна.
