Matthew 27

Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people made their plans how to have Jesus executed.

So they bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate the governor.

Они, связав Его, отвели и передали римскому наместнику Пилату^[a].

When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders.

“I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”

“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”

– А нам-то что за дело? – ответили те. – Смотри сам.

So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

Бросив деньги в храме, Иуда ушёл и повесился.

The chief priests picked up the coins and said, “It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money.”

А главные священнослужители собрали деньги и сказали:

– Положить эти деньги в сокровищницу храма нельзя, так как это плата за кровь.

So they decided to use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners.

И, посоветовавшись, они решили купить на них поле горшечника и использовать его под кладбище для чужеземцев.

That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day.

Поэтому то поле и называется до сегодняшнего дня «Полем Крови».

Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price set on him by the people of Israel,

and they used them to buy the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.”^[a]

и купили на них землю горшечника, как повелел мне Вечный»^[b].

Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”

“You have said so,” Jesus replied.

Тем временем Ису поставили перед наместником, и тот спросил Его:

– Ты Царь иудеев?

– Ты сам так говоришь, – отвечал Иса.

When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer.

Когда же Его обвиняли главные священнослужители и старейшины, Он ничего не отвечал.

Then Pilate asked him, “Don’t you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?”

Пилат спросил:

– Ты что, не слышишь, сколько против Тебя обвинений?

But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge—to the great amazement of the governor.

Но Иса, к удивлению наместника, не отвечал ни на одно из обвинений.

Now it was the governor’s custom at the festival to release a prisoner chosen by the crowd.

У наместника был обычай на праздник Освобождения отпускать одного из заключённых, по выбору народа.

At that time they had a well-known prisoner whose name was Jesus^[b] Barabbas.

В то время под стражей находился известный узник по имени Бар-Абба.

So when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them, “Which one do you want me to release to you: Jesus Barabbas, or Jesus who is called the Messiah?”

Поэтому, когда собрался народ, Пилат спросил:

– Кого вы хотите, чтобы я вам отпустил: Бар-Аббу или Ису, называемого Масихом?

For he knew it was out of self-interest that they had handed Jesus over to him.

Он знал, что Ису предали ему из зависти.

While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message: “Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.”

К тому же, когда Пилат сидел в судейском кресле, его жена послала сказать ему: «Не делай ничего этому праведнику, я сильно страдала сегодня во сне из-за Него».

But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed.

Но главные священнослужители и старейшины убедили толпу просить освобождения Бар-Аббы и казни Исы.

“Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” asked the governor.

“Barabbas,” they answered.

– Так кого же из этих двоих вы хотите, чтобы я вам отпустил? – спросил наместник.

– Бар-Аббу! – сказали они.

“What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked.

They all answered, “Crucify him!”

– Что же мне тогда делать с Исой, которого называют Масихом? – спросил Пилат.

Все в один голос закричали:

– Пусть Он будет распят!

“Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate.

But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”

– За что? Какое зло сделал Он? – спросил Пилат.

Однако толпа кричала всё громче:

– Пусть Он будет распят!

When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!”

Когда Пилат увидел, что ничего не может сделать и что волнение в народе лишь нарастает, он взял воды, вымыл руки перед всем народом и сказал:

– Смотрите сами. Я же не виновен в крови Этого Человека.

All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!”

И весь народ сказал:

– Кровь Его на нас и на наших детях!

Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

The Soldiers Mock Jesus

Тогда Пилат освободил им Бар-Аббу, а Ису отдал на распятие, приказав сперва бичевать Его.

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him.

Солдаты отвели Ису в резиденцию наместника и собрали вокруг Него весь полк.

They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him,

Они раздели Его и надели на Него алую мантию.

and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand. Then they knelt in front of him and mocked him. “Hail, king of the Jews!” they said.

И сплетя венок из терновника, надели Ему на голову, дали Ему в правую руку трость и стали насмехаться над Ним, становясь перед Ним на колени и говоря:

– Да здравствует Царь иудеев!

They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again.

И плевали на Него и, взяв трость, били Его по голове.

After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

The Crucifixion of Jesus

Вдоволь наиздевавшись, они сняли с Него мантию, одели Ису в Его собственную одежду и повели на распятие.

As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross.

They came to a place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”).

There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it.

они дали Ему вино, смешанное с желчью. Попробовав, Он не стал пить.^[d]

When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Распяв Ису, солдаты по жребию разделили Его одежду^[e]

And sitting down, they kept watch over him there.

и сели стеречь Его.

Above his head they placed the written charge against him: this is jesus, the king of the jews.

Над головой Исы прибили табличку с указанием Его вины: ЭТО ИСА, ЦАРЬ ИУДЕЕВ.

Two rebels were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.

Вместе с Ним были распяты и два разбойника, один по правую, а другой по левую сторону от Него.

Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads

Проходившие мимо бранили Его. Качая головами,^[f]

and saying, “You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!”

они говорили:

– Ты ведь собирался разрушить храм и в три дня отстроить его! Спаси хотя бы Себя Самого, если Ты Сын Всевышнего (Царственный Спаситель)! Сойди с креста!

In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him.

Главные священнослужители, учители Таурата и старейшины тоже насмехались над Исой.

“He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.

– Спасал других, – говорили они, – а Себя спасти не может. Царь Исраила! Пусть Он сойдёт с креста, и тогда мы поверим в Него.

He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

Он полагался на Всевышнего, так пусть Всевышний теперь избавит Его, если Он Ему угоден;^[g] ведь Он же называл Себя Сыном Всевышнего!

In the same way the rebels who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

The Death of Jesus

Теми же словами оскорбляли Его и разбойники, распятые вместе с Ним.

From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land.

В полдень по всей земле стало темно, и это продолжалось до трёх часов дня.

About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli,^[c] lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).^[d]

When some of those standing there heard this, they said, “He’s calling Elijah.”

Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink.

The rest said, “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to save him.”

Другие же говорили:

– Подожди, давай посмотрим, придёт Ильяс спасти Его или нет.

And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

Иса снова громко закричал и испустил дух.

At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split

И тут завеса храма разорвалась надвое сверху донизу.^[j] Затряслась земля, и раскололись скалы.

and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.

Раскрылись могилы, и многие умершие праведники воскресли.

They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and^[e] went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

Они вышли из могил и, уже после того как воскрес Сам Иса, вошли в святой город Иерусалим, где их видело много людей.

When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

Римский офицер и те, кто вместе с ним стерегли Ису, увидев землетрясение и всё, что произошло, очень испугались и сказали:

– Он действительно был Сыном Всевышнего (Божественным Царём)!

Many women were there, watching from a distance. They had followed Jesus from Galilee to care for his needs.

Там также было и много женщин, которые издали наблюдали за происходящим. Они следовали за Исой из самой Галилеи, помогая Ему.

Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph,^[f] and the mother of Zebedee’s sons.

The Burial of Jesus

Среди них были Марьям из Магдалы, Марьям, мать Якуба и Иосии^[k], и мать сыновей Завдая.

As evening approached, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus.

Вечером к месту казни пришёл один богатый человек из Аримафеи по имени Юсуф. Он тоже был учеником Исы.

Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus’ body, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him.

Юсуф пошёл к Пилату и попросил тело Исы. Пилат приказал, чтобы ему отдали тело.

Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there opposite the tomb.

The Guard at the Tomb

The next day, the one after Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate.

На следующий день, это была суббота,^[l] главные священнослужители и блюстители Закона собрались у Пилата.

“Sir,” they said, “we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’

– Господин, – обратились они к нему, – мы вспомнили, что когда этот обманщик ещё был жив, Он сказал: «Через три дня Я воскресну».

So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first.”

Поэтому прикажи, чтобы могила три дня охранялась, иначе Его ученики могут прийти, выкрасть тело и сказать народу, что Он воскрес из мёртвых. Этот последний обман будет ещё хуже первого.

“Take a guard,” Pilate answered. “Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.”

– Возьмите стражу, – ответил Пилат, – идите и охраняйте, как знаете.

So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.
