Luke 9

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases,

and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Затем Он послал их возвещать Царство Всевышнего и исцелять больных,

He told them: “Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt.

сказав им:

– Ничего не берите с собой в дорогу: ни посоха, ни сумки, ни хлеба, ни денег, ни запасной одежды.

Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.

В какой бы дом вы ни вошли, оставайтесь там и оттуда отправляйтесь дальше.

If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

А если где-то люди вас не примут, то, уходя из того города, отряхните пыль с ваших ног^[a], это будет свидетельством против них.

So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere.

Посланные отправились в путь и, переходя из селения в селение, возвещали Радостную Весть и повсюду исцеляли больных.

Смятение правителя Ирода

Now Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was going on. And he was perplexed because some were saying that John had been raised from the dead,

Слухи обо всём этом дошли и до правителя Ирода^[b]. Он был в недоумении, потому что одни говорили, что это Яхия воскрес из мёртвых,

others that Elijah had appeared, and still others that one of the prophets of long ago had come back to life.

другие – что явился пророк Ильяс, третьи – что ожил один из древних пророков.

But Herod said, “I beheaded John. Who, then, is this I hear such things about?” And he tried to see him.

Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand

Ирод говорил:

– Яхию я обезглавил, а кто же тогда Этот Человек, о Котором мне такое рассказывают?

И он искал возможность увидеть Ису.

Насыщение более пяти тысяч человек

When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida,

Возвратившись, посланники рассказали Исе обо всём, что они сделали. Потом Он взял их с Собой, и они пошли одни к городу, называемому Вифсаида.

but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.

Однако толпы народа, узнав об этом, пошли за Исой. Он радушно их принял и говорил им о Царстве Всевышнего, а также исцелял тех, кто в этом нуждался.

Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, “Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”

День уже клонился к вечеру, и двенадцать учеников подошли к Исе и сказали:

– Отпусти людей, чтобы они пошли в окрестные посёлки и селения и нашли себе ночлег и пищу, ведь мы здесь в пустынном месте.

He replied, “You give them something to eat.”

They answered, “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all this crowd.”

Иса ответил:

– Вы сами дайте им есть.

Ученики удивились:

– Да ведь у нас только пять лепёшек и две рыбы. Разве что нам пойти и купить еды на всех этих людей? –

(About five thousand men were there.)

But he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.”

А там одних только мужчин было около пяти тысяч.

Но Иса сказал ученикам:

– Рассадите людей группами, человек по пятьдесят.

The disciples did so, and everyone sat down.

Ученики так и сделали. Когда все сели,

Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people.

Иса взял пять лепёшек и две рыбы и, подняв глаза к небу, благословил пищу. Затем Он стал разламывать лепёшки и рыбу и давать их Своим ученикам, чтобы те раздавали народу.

They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah

Все ели и насытились, и собрали ещё двенадцать корзин остатков.

Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say I am?”

Однажды, когда Иса молился в одиночестве и недалеко от Него были Его ученики, Он спросил их:

– За кого принимает Меня народ?

They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life.”

Они ответили:

– За пророка Яхию; другие же говорят, что Ты пророк Ильяс, а третьи – что один из других древних пророков ожил.

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Peter answered, “God’s Messiah.”

Jesus Predicts His Death

– А вы кем считаете Меня? – спросил их Иса.

– Обещанным Масихом^[c] Всевышнего, – ответил Петир.

Иса Масих впервые говорит о Своей смерти и воскресении

Jesus strictly warned them not to tell this to anyone.

Но Иса строго велел им никому не говорить об этом,^[d]

And he said, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”

сказав:

– Ниспосланному как Человек предстоит много пострадать и быть отвергнутым старейшинами, главными священнослужителями и учителями Таурата. Он будет убит, но на третий день воскреснет.

Цена следования за Исой Масихом

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Потом Иса сказал им:

– Если кто желает быть Моим последователем, пусть отречётся от самого себя, уподобится человеку, который несёт крест на место своего распятия, и пусть следует за Мной.

For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.

Потому что тот, кто хочет сберечь свою жизнь, потеряет её, а кто потеряет свою жизнь ради Меня, тот спасёт её.

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?

Ведь что пользы человеку, если он приобретёт весь мир, но при этом погубит самого себя или повредит себе?

Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

Кто постыдится Меня и Моих слов, того постыдится и Ниспосланный как Человек, когда придёт в Своей славе и в славе Отца и святых ангелов.

“Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God.”

The Transfiguration

Говорю вам истину, некоторые из вас, стоящих здесь, не умрут, пока не увидят проявления Царства Всевышнего.^[e]

Преображение Исы Масиха

About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray.

Примерно восемь дней спустя после этих слов Иса, взяв с собой Петира, Иохана и Якуба, поднялся на гору помолиться.

As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.

Во время молитвы Его облик вдруг изменился, а одежда стала ослепительно белой.

Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus.

И вот появились два человека, которые стали разговаривать с Исой, – это были пророки Муса и Ильяс.

They spoke about his departure,^[a] which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem.

Явившись в окружении яркого сияния, они говорили с Исой о Его исходе, который Он должен будет совершить в Иерусалиме.

Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him.

А Петира и тех, кто был вместе с ним, одолел сон, но когда они очнулись, то увидели славу Исы и двух мужчин, стоявших рядом с Ним.

As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” (He did not know what he was saying.)

Когда мужчины уже уходили, Петир сказал Исе:

– Наставник, нам здесь так хорошо! Давай мы сделаем три шалаша: один Тебе, один Мусе и один Ильясу, – он и сам не знал, что говорит.

While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and covered them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.

Когда он ещё говорил, показалось облако и накрыло их. Оказавшись в облаке, они очень испугались.

A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.”

И из облака прозвучал голос:

– Это Мой Сын (Масих), Мой избранный. Слушайте Его!^[f]

When the voice had spoken, they found that Jesus was alone. The disciples kept this to themselves and did not tell anyone at that time what they had seen.

Jesus Heals a Demon-Possessed Boy

Когда голос умолк, они увидели Ису уже одного. Они молчали об этом и в то время никому не рассказывали о том, что видели.

Исцеление мальчика, одержимого нечистым духом

The next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.

На следующий день, когда они спустились с горы, Ису встретила большая толпа.

A man in the crowd called out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child.

И один человек из толпы закричал:

– Учитель, умоляю Тебя, посмотри на моего сына! Он у меня один.

A spirit seizes him and he suddenly screams; it throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying him.

Иногда его схватывает дух, и тогда мальчик внезапно начинает кричать, его сводит судорогой, так что у него изо рта идёт пена. Дух терзает его до полного изнеможения и лишь тогда нехотя отступает.

I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not.”

Я просил Твоих учеников изгнать его, но они не смогли.

“You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here.”

– О неверующее и испорченное поколение, – сказал в ответ Иса, – сколько Мне ещё быть с вами и терпеть вас? Приведи сына сюда.

Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the impure spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father.

Когда мальчик ещё шёл, дух бросил его на землю в припадке. Но Иса приказал нечистому духу выйти и исцелил мальчика, а затем отдал его отцу.

And they were all amazed at the greatness of God.

Jesus Predicts His Death a Second Time

While everyone was marveling at all that Jesus did, he said to his disciples,

Все были поражены величием Всевышнего.

Иса Масих вновь говорит о Своей смерти

В то время как все удивлялись тому, что совершил Иса, Он сказал Своим ученикам:

“Listen carefully to what I am about to tell you: The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men.”

– Слушайте внимательно, что Я вам сейчас скажу: Ниспосланный как Человек будет предан в руки людей.

But they did not understand what this meant. It was hidden from them, so that they did not grasp it, and they were afraid to ask him about it.

Но они не поняли, что Он имел в виду, от них это было сокрыто, так что они не поняли смысла сказанного, а спросить, что означают Его слова, боялись.

Кто важнее?

An argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest.

Среди учеников как-то начался спор о том, кто из них важнее.

Jesus, knowing their thoughts, took a little child and had him stand beside him.

Иса, зная их мысли, взял маленького ребёнка и поставил его рядом с Собой.

Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.”

– Кто ради Меня принимает такого ребёнка, – сказал Иса, – тот принимает и Меня, а кто принимает Меня, тот принимает и пославшего Меня. Кто среди вас меньше всех, тот и велик.

Кто не против вас, тот за вас

“Master,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we tried to stop him, because he is not one of us.”

– Наставник, – сказал Иохан, – мы видели человека, который Твоим именем изгонял демонов, и мы запрещали ему, потому что он не следует за Тобой вместе с нами.

“Do not stop him,” Jesus said, “for whoever is not against you is for you.”

Samaritan Opposition

– Не запрещайте, – сказал ему Иса. – Кто не против вас, тот за вас.

Отвержение Исы Масиха самарянами

As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.

Когда Исе подошло время быть взятым на небо, Он направился в Иерусалим.

And he sent messengers on ahead, who went into a Samaritan village to get things ready for him;

Вперёд Себя Он послал вестников, и те пошли в одно из самарянских селений, чтобы приготовить всё к Его приходу.

but the people there did not welcome him, because he was heading for Jerusalem.

Но жители селения не приняли Его, потому что Он шёл в Иерусалим.^[g]

When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them^[b]?”

Увидев это, Его ученики Якуб и Иохан сказали:

– Повелитель, хочешь, мы прикажем огню сойти с неба и всех их истребить?^[h]

But Jesus turned and rebuked them.

Но Иса, обернувшись, запретил им.

Then he and his disciples went to another village.

The Cost of Following Jesus

И они пошли в другое селение.

As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.”

Когда они шли по дороге, один человек сказал Исе:

– Я пойду за Тобой, куда бы Ты ни пошёл.

Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

Иса ответил:

– У лисиц есть норы, и у птиц небесных – гнёзда, а Ниспосланному как Человек негде и голову приклонить.

He said to another man, “Follow me.”

But he replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”

Другому человеку Иса сказал:

– Следуй за Мной.

Но тот ответил:

– Повелитель, разреши мне остаться со своим отцом, чтобы, когда он умрёт, я смог похоронить его.

Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.”

– Пусть духовно мёртвые сами хоронят своих мертвецов, а ты иди и провозглашай Царство Всевышнего, – сказал ему Иса.

Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.”

Ещё один человек сказал Ему:

– Я пойду за Тобой, Повелитель, но позволь мне прежде пойти и попрощаться с моей семьёй.

Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

Иса ответил:

– Ни один человек, положивший руку на плуг и оглядывающийся назад, не пригоден для Царства Всевышнего.
