Luke 20

One day as Jesus was teaching the people in the temple courts and proclaiming the good news, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, together with the elders, came up to him.

В один из дней, когда Иса учил в храме, проповедуя Радостную Весть, к Нему пришли главные священнослужители и учители Таурата со старейшинами.

“Tell us by what authority you are doing these things,” they said. “Who gave you this authority?”

– Скажи нам, чьей властью Ты всё это делаешь и кто дал Тебе эту власть? – спросили они.

He replied, “I will also ask you a question. Tell me:

В ответ Иса сказал:

– Я тоже задам вам вопрос. Скажите,

John’s baptism—was it from heaven, or of human origin?”

от кого Яхия получил своё право совершать обряд погружения в воду^[a], от Всевышнего^[b] или от людей?

They discussed it among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Why didn’t you believe him?’

Они стали совещаться между собой:

– Если мы скажем: «От Всевышнего», то Он спросит: «Почему же вы ему не поверили?»

But if we say, ‘Of human origin,’ all the people will stone us, because they are persuaded that John was a prophet.”

Если скажем: «От людей», то весь народ побьёт нас камнями, ведь они убеждены, что Яхия был пророком.

So they answered, “We don’t know where it was from.”

– Мы не знаем от кого, – ответили они.

Jesus said, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”

The Parable of the Tenants

– Тогда и Я вам не скажу, чьей властью Я всё это делаю, – сказал им Иса.

Притча о злых виноградарях

He went on to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard, rented it to some farmers and went away for a long time.

Он начал рассказывать народу притчу:

– Один человек посадил виноградник.^[c] Он отдал его внаём виноградарям, а сам уехал в далёкую страну на долгое время.

At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants so they would give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed.

Когда пришло время, он послал раба к виноградарям, чтобы они дали причитающуюся ему часть урожая. Виноградари же избили раба и отослали его с пустыми руками.

He sent another servant, but that one also they beat and treated shamefully and sent away empty-handed.

Он послал другого раба, но они и этого избили, поиздевались над ним и отослали с пустыми руками.

He sent still a third, and they wounded him and threw him out.

Он послал третьего раба. Они и этого изранили и выбросили из виноградника.

“Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my son, whom I love; perhaps they will respect him.’

Тогда хозяин виноградника подумал: «Что же мне делать? Пошлю своего любимого сына, может, хоть его они устыдятся».

“But when the tenants saw him, they talked the matter over. ‘This is the heir,’ they said. ‘Let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’

Когда же виноградари увидели сына, они решили: «Это наследник. Давайте убьём его, чтобы наследство стало нашим».

So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

“What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?

Они выбросили его из виноградника и убили. Что теперь сделает с ними хозяин виноградника?

He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others.”

When the people heard this, they said, “God forbid!”

Конечно же, он придёт и убьёт тех виноградарей, а виноградник отдаст другим.

Слышавшие это воскликнули:

– Пусть этого не случится!

Jesus looked directly at them and asked, “Then what is the meaning of that which is written:

Но Иса, взглянув на них, сказал:

– Что означают слова Писания:

Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.”

Каждый, кто упадёт на Тот Камень, разобьётся вдребезги, а на кого Он упадёт, того раздавит.

The teachers of the law and the chief priests looked for a way to arrest him immediately, because they knew he had spoken this parable against them. But they were afraid of the people.

Paying Taxes to Caesar

Учители Таурата и главные священнослужители, поняв, что эту притчу Иса рассказал о них, хотели немедленно арестовать Его, но побоялись народа.

Вопрос об уплате налогов

Keeping a close watch on him, they sent spies, who pretended to be sincere. They hoped to catch Jesus in something he said, so that they might hand him over to the power and authority of the governor.

Они стали внимательно следить за Исой и подослали к Нему людей, которые, притворясь искренними, попытались бы подловить Его на слове, чтобы можно было отдать Его во власть римского наместника.

So the spies questioned him: “Teacher, we know that you speak and teach what is right, and that you do not show partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.

Те спросили Ису:

– Учитель, мы знаем, что Ты правильно говоришь и учишь. Ты беспристрастен и истинно учишь пути Всевышнего.

Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”

Следует ли нам платить дань римскому императору или нет?

He saw through their duplicity and said to them,

Иса видел их лукавство и сказал:

“Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?”

“Caesar’s,” they replied.

– Покажите Мне серебряную монету^[e]. Кто на ней изображён и чьё на ней имя?

– Императора, – ответили они.

He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

– Вот и отдавайте императору то, что принадлежит императору, а Всевышнему – то, что принадлежит Всевышнему, – сказал Он им.

They were unable to trap him in what he had said there in public. And astonished by his answer, they became silent.

The Resurrection and Marriage

Они не могли подловить Его перед народом ни на каком Его слове, и, удивлённые Его ответом, замолчали.

Вопрос о воскресении мёртвых

Some of the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Jesus with a question.

К Исе подошли несколько саддукеев^[f], которые утверждают, что нет воскресения мёртвых. Они спросили Его:

“Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.

– Учитель, Муса написал, что если у кого-либо умрёт брат, у которого была жена, но не было детей, то он должен жениться на вдове и восстановить род своему брату.^[g]

Now there were seven brothers. The first one married a woman and died childless.

Так вот, было семеро братьев. Первый брат женился и умер бездетным.

The second

Затем второй и третий женились на ней, и так все семеро. И все они умерли, не оставив после себя детей.

and then the third married her, and in the same way the seven died, leaving no children.

Finally, the woman died too.

Потом умерла и женщина.

Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”

Итак, после воскресения, чьей женой она будет, ведь все семеро были женаты на ней?

Jesus replied, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage.

Иса ответил им:

– Люди этого века женятся и выходят замуж.

But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage,

Те же, кто удостоится жить в будущем веке и будет воскрешён из мёртвых, не будут ни жениться, ни выходить замуж,

and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.

и умереть уже не смогут, но будут подобны ангелам. Они сыны Всевышнего, потому что участвуют в воскресении.

But in the account of the burning bush, even Moses showed that the dead rise, for he calls the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’^[b]

А то, что мёртвые воскресают, показал Муса в истории с терновым кустом, когда он назвал Вечного «Богом Ибрахима, Богом Исхака и Богом Якуба»^[h].

He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.”

Он Бог не мёртвых, а живых, потому что для Него все живы!

Some of the teachers of the law responded, “Well said, teacher!”

Некоторые из учителей Таурата сказали:

– Хорошо Ты ответил, Учитель!

And no one dared to ask him any more questions.

Whose Son Is the Messiah?

И больше уже никто не решался задавать Ему вопросы.

Масих – Повелитель Давуда

Затем Иса спросил их:

Then Jesus said to them, “Why is it said that the Messiah is the son of David?

– Почему говорят, что Масих – лишь сын Давуда?

David himself declares in the Book of Psalms:

David calls him ‘Lord.’ How then can he be his son?”

Warning Against the Teachers of the Law

Итак, Давуд называет Масиха Повелителем. Как же в таком случае Он может быть всего лишь его сыном?

Предостережение от лицемерия

While all the people were listening, Jesus said to his disciples,

Весь народ слушал Ису, а Он сказал Своим ученикам:

“Beware of the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.

– Остерегайтесь учителей Таурата. Они любят наряжаться в длинные одежды и любят, когда их приветствуют в людных местах. Они сидят на самых почётных местах в молитвенных домах и на званых обедах.

They devour widows’ houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely.”

Они разоряют дома вдов и напоказ долго молятся. Таких ждёт очень суровое наказание.
