Judges 13

Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord, so the Lord delivered them into the hands of the Philistines for forty years.

Исраильтяне вновь стали делать зло в глазах Вечного, и Вечный отдал их в руки филистимлян на сорок лет.

A certain man of Zorah, named Manoah, from the clan of the Danites, had a wife who was childless, unable to give birth.

У одного человека из Цоры по имени Маноах из рода данитян жена была бесплодна и не имела детей.

The angel of the Lord appeared to her and said, “You are barren and childless, but you are going to become pregnant and give birth to a son.

Ангел Вечного явился ей и сказал:

– Ты бесплодна и не имеешь детей, но забеременеешь и родишь сына.

Now see to it that you drink no wine or other fermented drink and that you do not eat anything unclean.

Итак, смотри, не пей ни вина, ни другого алкогольного напитка, и не ешь ничего ритуально нечистого,

You will become pregnant and have a son whose head is never to be touched by a razor because the boy is to be a Nazirite, dedicated to God from the womb. He will take the lead in delivering Israel from the hands of the Philistines.”

потому что ты забеременеешь и родишь сына. Его головы не коснётся бритва, потому что мальчик с самого рождения будет посвящён Всевышнему как назорей^[a]. Именно он начнёт спасать Исраил от рук филистимлян.

Then the woman went to her husband and told him, “A man of God came to me. He looked like an angel of God, very awesome. I didn’t ask him where he came from, and he didn’t tell me his name.

Женщина пошла к своему мужу и сказала ему:

– Ко мне приходил человек Всевышнего. Он был похож на Ангела Всевышнего, Его вид внушал благоговейный ужас. Я не спросила Его, откуда Он, а Он не сказал мне Своего имени.

But he said to me, ‘You will become pregnant and have a son. Now then, drink no wine or other fermented drink and do not eat anything unclean, because the boy will be a Nazirite of God from the womb until the day of his death.’”

Но Он сказал мне: «Ты забеременеешь и родишь сына. Поэтому не пей ни вина, ни другого алкогольного напитка и не ешь ничего ритуально нечистого, потому что мальчик будет назореем Всевышнего с рождения до самой смерти».

Then Manoah prayed to the Lord: “Pardon your servant, Lord. I beg you to let the man of God you sent to us come again to teach us how to bring up the boy who is to be born.”

И Маноах молился Вечному:

– Владыка, прошу Тебя, пусть человек Всевышнего, Которого Ты посылал к нам, придёт опять и научит нас, что нам делать с мальчиком, который должен родиться.

God heard Manoah, and the angel of God came again to the woman while she was out in the field; but her husband Manoah was not with her.

Всевышний услышал Маноаха, и Ангел Всевышнего вновь пришёл к той женщине, когда она была в поле, но её мужа Маноаха с ней не было.

The woman hurried to tell her husband, “He’s here! The man who appeared to me the other day!”

Женщина побежала и сказала своему мужу:

– Он здесь! Тот человек, Который приходил ко мне тогда!

Manoah got up and followed his wife. When he came to the man, he said, “Are you the man who talked to my wife?”

“I am,” he said.

Маноах встал и пошёл за своей женой. Он пришёл к тому человеку и спросил:

– Это Ты говорил с моей женой?

– Я, – ответил Он.

So Manoah asked him, “When your words are fulfilled, what is to be the rule that governs the boy’s life and work?”

И Маноах спросил Его:

– Когда Твои слова исполнятся, как жить мальчику, и что ему делать?

The angel of the Lord answered, “Your wife must do all that I have told her.

Ангел Вечного ответил:

– Твоя жена должна исполнять всё, что Я ей сказал.

She must not eat anything that comes from the grapevine, nor drink any wine or other fermented drink nor eat anything unclean. She must do everything I have commanded her.”

Она не должна есть ничего, что даёт виноградная лоза, пить вина и никакого другого алкогольного напитка, а также есть что-либо ритуально нечистое. Она должна делать всё, что Я ей велел.

Manoah said to the angel of the Lord, “We would like you to stay until we prepare a young goat for you.”

Маноах сказал Ангелу Вечного:

– Мы хотели бы, чтобы Ты остался, пока мы не приготовим для Тебя козлёнка.

The angel of the Lord replied, “Even though you detain me, I will not eat any of your food. But if you prepare a burnt offering, offer it to the Lord.” (Manoah did not realize that it was the angel of the Lord.)

Ангел Вечного ответил Маноаху:

– Хоть ты удерживаешь Меня, Я не буду есть твоего угощения. Но если ты приготовишь всесожжение, принеси его Вечному.

(Маноах не знал, что это был Ангел Вечного.)

Then Manoah inquired of the angel of the Lord, “What is your name, so that we may honor you when your word comes true?”

Маноах спросил Ангела Вечного:

– Как Твоё имя, чтобы нам отблагодарить Тебя, когда Твои слова исполнятся?

He replied, “Why do you ask my name? It is beyond understanding.^[a]”

Ангел Вечного ответил:

– Зачем ты спрашиваешь Моё имя? Оно чудно.

Then Manoah took a young goat, together with the grain offering, and sacrificed it on a rock to the Lord. And the Lord did an amazing thing while Manoah and his wife watched:

Тогда Маноах взял козлёнка и хлебное приношение и принёс на скале в жертву Вечному, и Он сотворил чудо перед глазами Маноаха и его жены:

As the flame blazed up from the altar toward heaven, the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame. Seeing this, Manoah and his wife fell with their faces to the ground.

когда пламя с жертвенника поднялось к небу, Ангел Вечного вознёсся в пламени жертвенника. Увидев это, Маноах и его жена пали лицом на землю.

When the angel of the Lord did not show himself again to Manoah and his wife, Manoah realized that it was the angel of the Lord.

Когда Ангел Вечного стал невидим Маноаху и его жене, Маноах понял, что это был Ангел Вечного.

“We are doomed to die!” he said to his wife. “We have seen God!”

– Теперь мы наверняка умрём! – сказал Маноах своей жене. – Ведь мы видели Всевышнего!^[b]

But his wife answered, “If the Lord had meant to kill us, he would not have accepted a burnt offering and grain offering from our hands, nor shown us all these things or now told us this.”

Но его жена ответила:

– Если бы Вечный хотел нам смерти, Он не принял бы из наших рук всесожжения и хлебного приношения, и не показал и не возвестил бы нам сейчас всего этого.

The woman gave birth to a boy and named him Samson. He grew and the Lord blessed him,

Женщина родила сына и назвала его Самсон. Мальчик рос, и Вечный благословлял его,

and the Spirit of the Lord began to stir him while he was in Mahaneh Dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.

и Дух Вечного начал действовать в нём, когда он был в Махане-Дане, между Цорой и Эштаолом.
