Jeremiah 25

Verse 1

The word came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, which was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

Вот откровение обо всём народе Иудеи, которое было Иеремии в четвёртом году правления иудейского царя Иоакима, сына Иосии (в 605 г. до н. э.), это был первый год правления Навуходоносора, царя Вавилона.

Verse 2

So Jeremiah the prophet said to all the people of Judah and to all those living in Jerusalem:

Пророк Иеремия пересказал его всему народу Иудеи и всем жителям Иерусалима:

Verse 3

For twenty-three years—from the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah until this very day—the word of the Lord has come to me and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened.

– Двадцать три года, начиная с тринадцатого года правления иудейского царя Иосии, сына Амона (с 627 г. до н. э.), и до сегодняшнего дня мне открывалось слово Вечного, и я говорил вам снова и снова, но вы не слушали.

Verse 4

And though the Lord has sent all his servants the prophets to you again and again, you have not listened or paid any attention.

Вечный снова и снова посылал к вам Своих рабов пророков, но вы не слушали их и даже не обращали внимания.

Verse 5

They said, “Turn now, each of you, from your evil ways and your evil practices, and you can stay in the land the Lord gave to you and your ancestors for ever and ever.

Они говорили: «Откажитесь каждый от своего злого пути и злых деяний, и живите на земле, которую Вечный отдал вам и вашим предкам навеки.

Verse 6

Do not follow other gods to serve and worship them; do not arouse my anger with what your hands have made. Then I will not harm you.”

Не следуйте за чужими богами, не служите и не поклоняйтесь им; не вызывайте Мой гнев делами ваших рук, и Я не причиню вам зла».

Verse 7

“But you did not listen to me,” declares the Lord, “and you have aroused my anger with what your hands have made, and you have brought harm to yourselves.”

– Но вы не слушали Меня, – возвещает Вечный, – вы вызывали Мой гнев делами ваших рук, и сами навели на себя беду.

Verse 8

Therefore the Lord Almighty says this: “Because you have not listened to my words,

Поэтому так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил:

– За то, что вы не слушали Моих слов,

Verse 9

I will summon all the peoples of the north and my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon,” declares the Lord, “and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy^[a] them and make them an object of horror and scorn, and an everlasting ruin.

Я призову все северные народы и Моего раба Навуходоносора, царя Вавилона, – возвещает Вечный, – и нашлю их на эту страну и всех её обитателей и на все окрестные народы. Я уничтожу их полностью и сделаю их предметом ужаса и издевательств, и станут они руинами навеки.

Verse 10

I will banish from them the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, the sound of millstones and the light of the lamp.

Я лишу их веселья и радости, утихнут там голоса жениха и невесты и звуки жерновов, и светильники погаснут.

Verse 11

This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

Вся страна будет опустошена и страшна, а эти народы будут семьдесят лет служить царю Вавилона.

Verse 12

“But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians,^[b] for their guilt,” declares the Lord, “and will make it desolate forever.

Но по прошествии семидесяти лет Я накажу царя Вавилона и его народ, страну вавилонян за их вину, – возвещает Вечный, – и приведу её в вечное запустение.

Verse 13

I will bring on that land all the things I have spoken against it, all that are written in this book and prophesied by Jeremiah against all the nations.

Я наведу на эту страну все невзгоды, которые Я предрёк ей, всё, что записано в этом свитке и возвещено устами Иеремии против всех народов.

Verse 14

They themselves will be enslaved by many nations and great kings; I will repay them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.”

The Cup of God’s Wrath

Ведь их самих поработят многочисленные народы и великие цари; Я воздам им по их поступкам и по делам их рук.

Чаша гнева Вечного

Verse 15

This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, said to me: “Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it.

Так сказал мне Вечный, Бог Исраила:

– Прими из Моей руки эту чашу, наполненную вином Моей ярости, и напои из неё все народы, к которым Я тебя посылаю.

Verse 16

When they drink it, they will stagger and go mad because of the sword I will send among them.”

Выпьют они и зашатаются, и потеряют рассудок, увидев меч, который Я пошлю на них.

Verse 17

So I took the cup from the Lord’s hand and made all the nations to whom he sent me drink it:

И я принял чашу из руки Вечного и напоил из неё все народы, к которым Он меня послал, –

Verse 18

Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a ruin and an object of horror and scorn, a curse^[c]—as they are today;

Иерусалим и города Иудеи, их царей и вельмож, чтобы погубить и сделать их предметом ужаса, издевательств и проклятий, как видно уже сегодня;

Verse 19

Pharaoh king of Egypt, his attendants, his officials and all his people,

фараона, царя Египта, его слуг, приближённых и весь его народ,

Verse 20

and all the foreign people there; all the kings of Uz; all the kings of the Philistines (those of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the people left at Ashdod);

и всех чужеземцев, живущих у него; всех царей страны Уц; всех царей филистимских (из городов Ашкелона, Газы, Экрона и тех, кто уцелел в Ашдоде);

Verse 21

Edom, Moab and Ammon;

страны Эдом, Моав и Аммон;

Verse 22

all the kings of Tyre and Sidon; the kings of the coastlands across the sea;

всех царей Тира и Сидона; царей прибрежных земель за морем;

Verse 23

Dedan, Tema, Buz and all who are in distant places^[d];

страны Дедан, Тема, Буз и всех, кто стрижёт волосы на висках^[a];

Verse 24

all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the foreign people who live in the wilderness;

всех царей Аравии и всех царей различных племён, живущих в пустыне;

Verse 25

all the kings of Zimri, Elam and Media;

всех царей стран Зимри, Елама и Мидии,

Verse 26

and all the kings of the north, near and far, one after the other—all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. And after all of them, the king of Sheshak^[e] will drink it too.

и всех царей севера, и близких, и далёких, одного за другим – все царства, которые находятся на земле. А после всех будет пить и царь Вавилона^[b].

Verse 27

“Then tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you.’

– Потом скажи им: Так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил, Бог Исраила: «Пейте, опьянейте, и изблюйте, и падите, чтобы больше не встать от меча, который Я на вас посылаю».

Verse 28

But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink, tell them, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: You must drink it!

А если они откажутся принять чашу у тебя из руки и выпить, скажи им: Так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил: «Вы непременно выпьете!

Verse 29

See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears my Name, and will you indeed go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword on all who live on the earth, declares the Lord Almighty.’

Я насылаю беду на Иерусалим, место Моего пребывания, и останетесь ли вы безнаказанными? Вы не останетесь безнаказанными, потому что Я призываю меч на всех жителей земли», – возвещает Вечный, Повелитель Сил.

Verse 30

“Now prophesy all these words against them and say to them:

“‘The Lord will roar from on high;
    he will thunder from his holy dwelling
    and roar mightily against his land.
He will shout like those who tread the grapes,
    shout against all who live on the earth.

– Итак, пророчествуй им все эти слова. Скажи им:

«Вечный возгремит с высот,
    возвысит голос из святого жилища,
    страшно возгремит на Свою страну;
воскликнет, как топчущий виноград,
    на всех, кто живёт на земле.

Verse 31

The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth,
for the Lord will bring charges against the nations;
he will bring judgment on all mankind
and put the wicked to the sword,’”
declares the Lord.

Грохот пройдёт до края земли,
    потому что у Вечного тяжба с народами;
Он будет судиться с каждым
    и грешных предаст мечу», –
        возвещает Вечный.

Verse 32

This is what the Lord Almighty says:

“Look! Disaster is spreading
from nation to nation;
a mighty storm is rising
from the ends of the earth.”

Так говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил:

– Смотрите, идёт беда
от народа к народу;
поднимается страшная буря
от краёв земли.

Verse 33

At that time those slain by the Lord will be everywhere—from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like dung lying on the ground.

В то время сражённые Вечным будут лежать повсюду – от края и до края земли. Не будут они ни оплаканы, ни собраны, ни похоронены, а будут лежать на земле, как отбросы.

Verse 34

Weep and wail, you shepherds;
roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock.
For your time to be slaughtered has come;
you will fall like the best of the rams.^[f]

Плачьте, пастухи, стенайте;
обваляйтесь в золе, вожди стада,
так как пробил час вашего заклания;
вы падёте и разобьётесь, как драгоценные сосуды.

Verse 35

The shepherds will have nowhere to flee,
the leaders of the flock no place to escape.

Не будет убежища пастухам
и спасения вождям стада.

Verse 36

Hear the cry of the shepherds,
the wailing of the leaders of the flock,
for the Lord is destroying their pasture.

Слышен плач пастухов,
стенания вождей стада –
Вечный уничтожил их выгон.

Verse 37

The peaceful meadows will be laid waste
because of the fierce anger of the Lord.

Гибнут мирные выпасы
из-за пылающего гнева Его.

Verse 38

Like a lion he will leave his lair,
and their land will become desolate
because of the sword^[g] of the oppressor
and because of the Lord’s fierce anger.

Он – как лев, покинувший своё логово,
и земля пришла в запустение
от меча^[c] гонителя
и от пылающего гнева Его.
