Genesis 6

When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them,

Люди начали умножаться на земле, и у них стали рождаться дочери.

the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

Сыны Всевышнего увидели, что человеческие дочери прекрасны, и стали брать их себе в жёны, каждый по своему выбору.^[a]

Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with^[a] humans forever, for they are mortal^[b]; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”

Вечный сказал:

– Не будет Дух Мой в противоборстве с человеком вечно, потому что человек смертен^[b]; все они будут уничтожены через сто двадцать лет^[c].

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

В те дни, после того как сыны Всевышнего стали входить к человеческим дочерям, и те рожали им детей, – были на земле исполины^[d]. Это были герои, знаменитые с древних времён.

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.

Вечный увидел, что люди на земле развратились, и все их мысли постоянно склоняются к злу.

The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.

Вечный пожалел, что сотворил человека на земле, и сердце Его наполнилось болью.

So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.”

И сказал Вечный:

– Я сотру с лица земли человеческий род, который Я сотворил. Я уничтожу и людей, и животных, и пресмыкающихся, и птиц небесных, потому что Я сожалею, что создал их.

Построение ковчега для спасения Нуха

But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

Noah and the Flood

Но Нух нашёл милость в глазах Вечного.

This is the account of Noah and his family.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.

Вот рассказ о Нухе.

Среди людей того времени лишь только Нух был праведен и безупречен; он пребывал в общении со Всевышним.

Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth.

У Нуха было трое сыновей: Сим, Хам и Иафет.

Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence.

В глазах Всевышнего земля преисполнилась разврата и насилия.

God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.

Всевышний увидел, как испорчена земля из-за того, что все люди на земле извратили свои пути.

So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.

Тогда Всевышний сказал Нуху:

– Я положу конец всему человеческому роду, потому что из-за него земля преисполнилась насилия. Я погублю его вместе со всей землёй.

So make yourself an ark of cypress^[c] wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.

Сделай себе ковчег из кипарисового дерева, и сделай в нём комнаты, и осмоли его изнутри и снаружи.

This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be three hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.^[d]

Вот как тебе нужно его построить: ковчег должен быть сто тридцать пять метров в длину, двадцать два с половиной метра в ширину и тринадцать с половиной метров^[e] в высоту.

Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit^[e] high all around.^[f] Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks.

Сделай для него крышу^[f] и в верху сведи ковчег к сорока пяти сантиметрам^[g]. Поставь сбоку дверь и сделай нижнюю, среднюю и верхнюю палубы.

I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish.

Я наведу на землю воды потопа, чтобы погубить всё, что живёт под небом, всякое существо, в котором дышит жизнь. Всё, что есть на земле, погибнет.

But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.

Но с тобой Я заключу священное соглашение, и ты войдёшь в ковчег – ты, и твои сыновья, и твоя жена, и жёны твоих сыновей.

You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you.

Введи в ковчег всех живых существ по паре, самца и самку, чтобы они остались в живых вместе с тобой.

Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive.

К тебе придут, чтобы тоже остаться в живых, по паре от каждого вида птиц, зверей и каждого вида пресмыкающихся.

You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”

Возьми в запас самой разной еды, чтобы кормиться и тебе, и им.

Noah did everything just as God commanded him.

Нух сделал всё точно так, как велел ему Всевышний.
