Genesis 45

Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, and he cried out, “Have everyone leave my presence!” So there was no one with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers.

Тогда Юсуф не мог более сдержать себя перед слугами и воскликнул:

– Уходите все прочь от меня! – и никого не было с Юсуфом, когда он открылся своим братьям.

And he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, and Pharaoh’s household heard about it.

Он так громко зарыдал, что услышали египтяне, и слух об этом дошёл до двора фараона.

Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still living?” But his brothers were not able to answer him, because they were terrified at his presence.

Юсуф сказал своим братьям:

– Я – Юсуф! Жив ли ещё мой отец?

Но братья ничего не могли ответить, так они были ошеломлены.

Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Come close to me.” When they had done so, he said, “I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt!

Тогда Юсуф сказал братьям:

– Подойдите же ко мне.

И когда они подошли, он сказал:

– Я ваш брат Юсуф, которого вы продали в Египет!

And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.

Но не тревожьтесь и не обвиняйте больше себя за то, что продали меня сюда: это Всевышний послал меня перед вами для спасения вашей жизни.

For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will be no plowing and reaping.

Уже два года, как в стране голод, и ещё пять лет не будет ни пахоты, ни жатвы.

But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.^[a]

Но Всевышний послал меня перед вами, чтобы сохранить ваш род на земле и великим избавлением спасти ваши жизни.

“So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.

Итак, не вы послали меня сюда, но Всевышний: Он сделал меня отцом фараону, господином над всем его домом и правителем всего Египта.

Now hurry back to my father and say to him, ‘This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; don’t delay.

Поспешите вернуться к моему отцу и скажите ему: «Вот что говорит твой сын Юсуф: „Всевышний сделал меня правителем всего Египта. Приходи ко мне, не медли;

You shall live in the region of Goshen and be near me—you, your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and all you have.

ты будешь жить в области Гошен и будешь рядом со мной: и ты, и твои дети и внуки, и твой крупный и мелкий скот, и всё, что у тебя есть.

I will provide for you there, because five years of famine are still to come. Otherwise you and your household and all who belong to you will become destitute.’

Там я смогу прокормить тебя – ведь предстоят ещё пять лет голода, – а иначе и ты, и твой дом, и все, кто принадлежат тебе, будете в нужде“».

“You can see for yourselves, and so can my brother Benjamin, that it is really I who am speaking to you.

Вы видите своими глазами, и вы, и мой брат Вениамин, что это действительно я говорю с вами.

Tell my father about all the honor accorded me in Egypt and about everything you have seen. And bring my father down here quickly.”

Расскажите же моему отцу о том, как я прославлен в Египте, и обо всём, что вы видели. И поскорее приведите сюда моего отца.

Then he threw his arms around his brother Benjamin and wept, and Benjamin embraced him, weeping.

Он обнял своего брата Вениамина и заплакал, и Вениамин плакал, обнимая его.

And he kissed all his brothers and wept over them. Afterward his brothers talked with him.

Он поцеловал всех братьев и с плачем обнимал их. Потом братья беседовали с ним.

Фараон позволяет Якубу переселиться в Египет

When the news reached Pharaoh’s palace that Joseph’s brothers had come, Pharaoh and all his officials were pleased.

Слух о том, что пришли братья Юсуфа, дошёл до двора фараона. Фараон обрадовался, и его придворные тоже,

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Tell your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals and return to the land of Canaan,

и фараон сказал Юсуфу:

– Скажи своим братьям: «Сделайте вот что: навьючьте своих животных, возвращайтесь в землю Ханаана

and bring your father and your families back to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you can enjoy the fat of the land.’

и приведите ко мне отца и ваши семьи. Я дам вам лучшую землю в Египте, и вы будете жить её плодами».

“You are also directed to tell them, ‘Do this: Take some carts from Egypt for your children and your wives, and get your father and come.

Ещё повелеваю тебе сказать им: «Сделайте вот что: возьмите в Египте колесницы для ваших детей и жён, привезите своего отца и приходите сами.

Never mind about your belongings, because the best of all Egypt will be yours.’”

Не жалейте о вашем имуществе, потому что всё лучшее в Египте будет вашим».

So the sons of Israel did this. Joseph gave them carts, as Pharaoh had commanded, and he also gave them provisions for their journey.

Сыновья Исраила так и сделали. Юсуф дал им колесницы, как приказал фараон, и припасы в дорогу.

To each of them he gave new clothing, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels^[b] of silver and five sets of clothes.

Каждому он подарил новую одежду, а Вениамину дал три с половиной килограмма^[a] серебра и пять смен одежды.

And this is what he sent to his father: ten donkeys loaded with the best things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and other provisions for his journey.

Отцу он послал десять ослов, нагруженных лучшим добром Египта, и десять ослиц, нагруженных зерном, хлебом и другими припасами для путешествия.

Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them, “Don’t quarrel on the way!”

После этого он отпустил братьев, и когда они уходили, сказал им:

– Ни о чём не тревожьтесь в пути!

So they went up out of Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan.

Они отправились в путь из Египта, пришли к своему отцу Якубу в землю Ханаана

They told him, “Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt.” Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them.

и сказали ему:

– Юсуф жив! Юсуф – правитель всего Египта!

У Якуба замерло сердце, и он не поверил им.

But when they told him everything Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts Joseph had sent to carry him back, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.

Но когда они передали ему всё, что сказал Юсуф, и когда он увидел колесницы, которые Юсуф послал, чтобы перевезти его, душа Якуба ожила.

And Israel said, “I’m convinced! My son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”

И Исраил сказал:

– Довольно! Мой сын Юсуф жив. Пойду и увижу его, прежде чем умру.
