Verse 1

This is the account of Shem, Ham and Japheth, Noah’s sons, who themselves had sons after the flood.

The Japhethites

Verse 2

The sons^[a] of Japheth:

Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek and Tiras.

Сыновья^[a] Иафета:

Гомер, Магог, Мадай, Иаван, Тувал, Мешех и Тирас.

Verse 3

The sons of Gomer:

Ashkenaz, Riphath and Togarmah.

Сыновья Гомера:

Ашкеназ^[b], Рифат и Тогарма.

Verse 4

The sons of Javan:

Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites and the Rodanites.^[b]

Сыновья Иавана:

Элиса, Фарсис, а также киттеи и роданеи.

Verse 5

(From these the maritime peoples spread out into their territories by their clans within their nations, each with its own language.)

The Hamites

Verse 6

The sons of Ham:

Cush, Egypt, Put and Canaan.

Сыновья Хама:

Куш, Мицраим, Пут и Ханаан.

Verse 7

The sons of Cush:

Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah and Sabteka.

The sons of Raamah:

Sheba and Dedan.

Сыновья Куша:

Сева, Хавила, Савта, Раама и Савтеха.

Сыновья Раамы:

Шева и Дедан.

Verse 8

Cush was the father^[c] of Nimrod, who became a mighty warrior on the earth.

Куш был также отцом^[c] Нимрода, который стал первым на земле могучим воином.

Verse 9

He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; that is why it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the Lord.”

Он также был величайшим охотником; поэтому и говорится: «Величайший охотник, как Нимрод».

Verse 10

The first centers of his kingdom were Babylon, Uruk, Akkad and Kalneh, in^[d] Shinar.^[e]

Первыми городами в его царстве были Вавилон, Эрех, Аккад и Халне в Вавилонии^[d].

Verse 11

From that land he went to Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir,^[f] Calah

Verse 12

and Resen, which is between Nineveh and Calah—which is the great city.

и Ресен, между Ниневией и Калахом – великий город.

Verse 13

Egypt was the father of

the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites,

Мицраим был отцом

лудеев, анамеев, лехавеев, нафтухеев,

Verse 14

Pathrusites, Kasluhites (from whom the Philistines came) and Caphtorites.

патрусеев, каслухеев (от которых произошли филистимляне) и кафтореев.

Verse 15

Canaan was the father of

Sidon his firstborn,^[g] and of the Hittites,

Ханаан был отцом

Сидона, его первенца, а также хеттов,

Verse 16

Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites,

иевусеев, аморреев, гиргашеев,

Verse 17

Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,

хивеев, аркеев, синеев,

Verse 18

Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites.

Later the Canaanite clans scattered

арвадеев, цемареев и хамафеев.

Verse 19

and the borders of Canaan reached from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboyim, as far as Lasha.

и границы Ханаана простирались от Сидона к Герару до Газы, а оттуда к Содому, Гоморре, Адме и Цевоиму до Лаши.

Verse 20

These are the sons of Ham by their clans and languages, in their territories and nations.

The Semites

Таковы произошедшие от Хама народы по своим родам, со своим языком, в своих землях.

Потомки Сима

Verse 21

Sons were also born to Shem, whose older brother was^[h] Japheth; Shem was the ancestor of all the sons of Eber.

Родились сыновья и у Сима, старшего брата Иафета. Сим был предком всех сыновей Евера^[e].

Verse 22

The sons of Shem:

Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram.

Сыновья Сима:

Елам, Ашшур, Арфаксад, Луд и Арам.

Verse 23

The sons of Aram:

Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshek.^[i]

Сыновья Арама:

Уц, Хул, Гетер и Мешех.

Verse 24

Arphaxad was the father of^[j] Shelah,

and Shelah the father of Eber.

Арфаксад был отцом Шелаха, а Шелах – отцом Евера.

Verse 25

Two sons were born to Eber:

One was named Peleg,^[k] because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.

У Евера родилось двое сыновей:

одного звали Фалек («разделение»), потому что в его дни земля была разделена, а его брата – Иоктан.

Joktan was the father of

Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

Иоктан был отцом

Verse 27

Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

Адорама, Узала, Дикла,

Verse 28

Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

Овала, Авимаила, Шевы,

Verse 29

Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.

Офира, Хавилы и Иовава. Все они были сыновьями Иоктана.

Verse 30

The region where they lived stretched from Mesha toward Sephar, in the eastern hill country.

Область, где они жили, простиралась от Меши до Сефара в восточных нагорьях.

Verse 31

These are the sons of Shem by their clans and languages, in their territories and nations.

Таковы произошедшие от Сима народы по своим родам, со своим языком, в своих землях.

Verse 32

These are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their lines of descent, within their nations. From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood.

Таковы роды сыновей Нуха, народы по их родословиям; от них после потопа произошли все народы на земле.
