2 Chronicles 33

Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, following the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.

Он делал зло в глазах Вечного, следуя омерзительным обычаям народов, которых Вечный прогнал от исраильтян.

He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had demolished; he also erected altars to the Baals and made Asherah poles. He bowed down to all the starry hosts and worshiped them.

Он отстроил капища на возвышенностях, которые разрушил его отец Езекия, он воздвиг жертвенники Баалу и сделал столбы Ашеры. Он поклонялся всем звёздам на небе и служил им.

He built altars in the temple of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “My Name will remain in Jerusalem forever.”

Он построил жертвенники в храме Вечного, о котором Вечный сказал: «В Иерусалиме Я буду пребывать вовеки».

In both courts of the temple of the Lord, he built altars to all the starry hosts.

В обоих дворах храма Вечного он построил жертвенники всем звёздам на небе.

He sacrificed his children in the fire in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, practiced divination and witchcraft, sought omens, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.

Он приносил своих сыновей в огненную жертву в долине Бен-Гинном, гадал и ворожил, колдовал и общался с вызывателями умерших и чародеями. Он сделал много зла в глазах Вечного, вызывая Его гнев.

He took the image he had made and put it in God’s temple, of which God had said to David and to his son Solomon, “In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my Name forever.

Он взял резного идола, которого сделал, и поставил его в храме Всевышнего, о котором Всевышний сказал Давуду и его сыну Сулейману: «В этом храме и в Иерусалиме, который Я избрал среди всех родов Исраила, Я буду пребывать вовеки.

I will not again make the feet of the Israelites leave the land I assigned to your ancestors, if only they will be careful to do everything I commanded them concerning all the laws, decrees and regulations given through Moses.”

Я не дам впредь ногам исраильтян оставить землю, которой Я наделил их предков, если только они будут исполнять всё, что Я повелел им в отношении Закона, установлений и правил, данных через Мусу».

But Manasseh led Judah and the people of Jerusalem astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites.

Но Манасса сбил Иудею и жителей Иерусалима с пути, и они делали больше зла, чем те народы, которых Вечный истребил перед исраильтянами.

The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they paid no attention.

Вечный предостерегал Манассу и его народ, но они не слушали.

So the Lord brought against them the army commanders of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh prisoner, put a hook in his nose, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon.

И Вечный навёл на них военачальников царя Ассирии, которые взяли Манассу в плен, продели в его нос крюк, заковали в бронзовые кандалы и увели его в Вавилон.

In his distress he sought the favor of the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors.

Попав в беду, он искал милости у Вечного, своего Бога, и глубоко смирился перед Богом своих предков.

And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea; so he brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord is God.

И когда он молился, Вечный смилостивился над ним и внял его мольбе. Он возвратил его в Иерусалим, на его трон. Так Манасса познал, что Вечный есть Бог.

Afterward he rebuilt the outer wall of the City of David, west of the Gihon spring in the valley, as far as the entrance of the Fish Gate and encircling the hill of Ophel; he also made it much higher. He stationed military commanders in all the fortified cities in Judah.

После этого он отстроил внешнюю стену Города Давуда к западу от источника Гихон в долине до самого прохода Рыбных ворот и вокруг холма Офел, притом он сделал её гораздо выше. Он разместил военачальников во всех укреплённых городах Иудеи.

He got rid of the foreign gods and removed the image from the temple of the Lord, as well as all the altars he had built on the temple hill and in Jerusalem; and he threw them out of the city.

Манасса убрал чужеземных богов и идола из храма Вечного вместе с жертвенниками, которые построил на храмовой горе и в Иерусалиме, он выбросил их из города.

Then he restored the altar of the Lord and sacrificed fellowship offerings and thank offerings on it, and told Judah to serve the Lord, the God of Israel.

Он восстановил жертвенник Вечного, принёс на нём жертвы примирения и благодарственные жертвы и велел Иудее служить Вечному, Богу Исраила.

The people, however, continued to sacrifice at the high places, but only to the Lord their God.

Народ же продолжал приносить жертвы в святилищах на возвышенностях, но только Вечному, своему Богу.

The other events of Manasseh’s reign, including his prayer to his God and the words the seers spoke to him in the name of the Lord, the God of Israel, are written in the annals of the kings of Israel.^[a]

Прочие события царствования Манассы, его молитва Богу и слова провидцев, сказанные ему во имя Вечного, Бога Исраила, записаны в «Летописях царей Исраила^[a]».

His prayer and how God was moved by his entreaty, as well as all his sins and unfaithfulness, and the sites where he built high places and set up Asherah poles and idols before he humbled himself—all these are written in the records of the seers.^[b]

Его молитва и то, как Всевышний смилостивился над ним, все его грехи, неверность, и места, где он строил капища на возвышенностях и ставил столбы Ашеры и идолов прежде чем смирил себя – всё это записано в «Летописях провидцев»^[b].

Manasseh rested with his ancestors and was buried in his palace. And Amon his son succeeded him as king.

Amon King of Judah

Манасса упокоился со своими предками и был похоронен у себя во дворце. И царём вместо него стал его сын Амон.

Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem two years.

Амону было двадцать два года, когда он стал царём, и правил он в Иерусалиме два года.

He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his father Manasseh had done. Amon worshiped and offered sacrifices to all the idols Manasseh had made.

Он делал зло в глазах Вечного, как и его отец Манасса. Амон поклонялся и приносил жертвы всем идолам, которых сделал Манасса.

But unlike his father Manasseh, he did not humble himself before the Lord; Amon increased his guilt.

Но в отличие от своего отца Манассы, он не смирил себя перед Вечным – Амон грешил всё больше и больше.

Amon’s officials conspired against him and assassinated him in his palace.

Приближённые Амона составили против него заговор и убили его в его же дворце.

Then the people of the land killed all who had plotted against King Amon, and they made Josiah his son king in his place.

Но народ страны перебил всех, кто был в заговоре против царя Амона, и сделал царём вместо него его сына Иосию.
