Zechariah 7:14

“but I scattered them with a storm wind among all the nations whom they have not known. Thus the land was desolate after they had gone, so that no one passed through or returned, for they [by their sins] had made the pleasant land desolate and deserted.”

فَبَدَّدْتُهُمْ بِالزَّوْبَعَةِ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ الَّتِي لَمْ يَعْرِفُوهَا مِنْ قَبْلُ، فَصَارَتِ الأَرْضُ الَّتِي نُفُوا مِنْهَا خَرَاباً لَا يَجْتَازُهَا ذَاهِبٌ أَوْ رَاجِعٌ، وَأَضْحَتِ الأَرْضُ الْمُبْهِجَةُ قَفْراً».

Det var derfor, jeg spredte dem for alle vinde blandt fremmede folkeslag. Deres land kom til at ligge øde hen, og ingen havde lyst til at rejse igennem det. De var skyld i, at det udvalgte land blev til en ødemark.”

Je les ai dispersés parmi toutes sortes de peuples qu’ils ne connaissaient pas, et le pays est resté dévasté derrière eux ; personne n’y passait plus, personne n’y revenait. D’un pays magnifique, ils ont fait une terre désolée.

Jag skingrar dem med en stormvind och sprider ut dem bland folk som de inte känner. Så blev landet öde efter dem, och ingen for ens därigenom. Så har de gjort det ljuvliga landet till en ödemark.’ ”
