Numbers 35:1

Then the Lord spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan [across from] Jericho, saying,

1-3 Then God spoke to Moses on the Plains of Moab at Jordan-Jericho: “Command the People of Israel to give the Levites as their part of the total inheritance towns to live in. Make sure there is plenty of pasture around the towns. Then they will be well taken care of with towns to live in and pastures for their cattle, flocks, and other livestock.

Now the Lord spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, saying,

On the plains of Moab, the Lord spoke to Moses. It was by the Jordan River across from Jericho. The Lord said,

On the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, the Lord said to Moses,

While Israel was camped beside the Jordan on the plains of Moab across from Jericho, the Lord said to Moses,

ثُمَّ قَالَ الرَّبُّ لِمُوسَى فِي سُهُولِ مُوآبَ بِالْقُرْبِ مِنْ نَهْرِ الأُرْدُنِّ مُقَابِلَ أَرِيحَا

Mens israelitterne stadig lå i lejr på Moabs sletter langs Jordanfloden over for Jeriko, sagde Herren til Moses:

Die Israeliten lagerten in der moabitischen Steppe östlich des Jordan, gegenüber von Jericho. Dort ließ der Herr ihnen durch Mose sagen: 2-3 »Gebt den Leviten in euren Stammesgebieten Städte, in denen sie wohnen können! Überlasst ihnen mit den Städten auch Weideland für ihre Viehherden!
