Nehemiah 9:3

While they stood in their places, they read from the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for a fourth of the day and for another fourth [of it] they confessed [their sins] and worshiped the Lord their God.

وَمَكَثُوا فِي أَمَاكِنِهِمْ حَيْثُ تُلِيَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ سِفْرِ شَرِيعَةِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِهِمْ رُبْعَ النَّهَارِ، وَحَمَدُوا وَسَجَدُوا لَهُ فِي الرُّبْعِ الأَخِيرِ.

Drei Stunden lang hörten sie im Stehen zu, was aus dem Gesetzbuch des Herrn, ihres Gottes, vorgelesen wurde. Dann warfen sie sich vor dem Herrn, ihrem Gott, nieder und bekannten ihm drei Stunden lang ihre Schuld.
