Nehemiah 1:3

They said to me, “The remnant there in the province who survived the captivity are in great distress and reproach; the wall of Jerusalem is broken down and its [fortified] gates have been burned (destroyed) by fire.”

And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

They told me, “The exile survivors who are left there in the province are in bad shape. Conditions are appalling. The wall of Jerusalem is still rubble; the city gates are still cinders.”

They said to me, “The remnant there in the province who survived the captivity are in great distress and reproach, and the wall of Jerusalem is broken down and its gates are burned with fire.”

He and the men with him said to me, “Some of the people who returned are still alive. They are back in the land of Judah. But they are having a hard time. They are ashamed. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down. Its gates have been burned with fire.”

They said to me, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.”

They said to me, “Things are not going well for those who returned to the province of Judah. They are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem has been torn down, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.”

فَقَالُوا لِي: ’إِنَّ النَّاجِينَ الَّذِينَ بَقُوا مِنَ السَّبْيِ، مِمَّنْ رَجَعُوا إِلَى هُنَاكَ، يُقَاسُونَ مِنْ شَقَاءٍ عَظِيمٍ وَعَارٍ. فَسُورُ أُورُشَلِيمَ مُنْهَدِمٌ وَأَبْوَابُهَا مَحْرُوقَةٌ بِالنَّارِ‘.

„Det går rigtig dårligt,” svarede de. „Folk lever i stor nød og elendighed. Jerusalems mur ligger stadig i ruiner, og de nedbrændte porte er ikke blevet istandsat.”

Nagsabat sila, “Ginabudlayan gid ang mga nagbalalik sa Juda, kag ginapakahuy-an sila sang mga katawhan sa palibot nila. Kag hasta subong guba ang pader sang Jerusalem kag sunog ang mga puwertahan sini.”

「実は、大変な目に会っています。城壁はくずされたまま、門も焼き払われたままです。」

그러자 그들은 포로로 잡혀 오지 않고 그 땅에 남아 있는 사람들이 큰 어려움과 수모를 당하고 있으며 예루살렘 성벽은 무너진 채 그대로 있고 성문은 불탄 이후로 다시 세우지 못했다고 말해 주었다.

De svarade mig: ”De som är kvar efter fångenskapen och befinner sig i provinsen är i nöd och vanära. Jerusalems mur är nedriven, och dess portar uppbrända.” Nehemja ber för Israel
