Malachi 1:14

“But cursed is the swindler who has a male in his flock and vows [to offer] it, but sacrifices to the Lord a blemished or diseased thing! For I am a great King,” says the Lord of hosts, “and My name is to be [reverently and greatly] feared among the nations.”

But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: for I am a great King, saith the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.

“A curse on the person who makes a big show of doing something great for me—an expensive sacrifice, say—and then at the last minute brings in something puny and worthless! I’m a great king, God-of-the-Angel-Armies, honored far and wide, and I’ll not put up with it!”

“But cursed be the swindler who has a male in his flock and vows it, but sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord, for I am a great King,” says the Lord of hosts, “and My name is [p]feared among the [q]nations.”

“Suppose you have a male sheep or goat that does not have any flaws. And you promise to offer it to me. But then you sacrifice an animal that has flaws. When you do that, you cheat me. And anyone who cheats me is under my curse. After all, I am a great king,” says the Lord who rules over all. “The other nations have respect for my name. So why don’t you respect it?

«مَلْعُونٌ الْمُنَافِقُ الَّذِي يَنْذُرُ لِلرَّبِّ ذَكَراً سَلِيماً مِنْ قَطِيعِهِ، ثُمَّ يُقَرِّبُ لِلرَّبِّ مَا هُوَ مُصَابٌ بِعَيْبٍ، لأَنِّي مَلِكٌ عَظِيمٌ وَاسْمِي مَهُوبٌ بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ»، يَقُولُ الرَّبُّ الْقَدِيرُ.

Den bedrager, som lover at bringe en flot vædder fra sin hjord, men bringer et defekt dyr i stedet, fortjener min straf. For jeg er en mægtig Konge, og alverdens folkeslag har ærefrygt for mig! siger Herren, den Almægtige.”

Verflucht sei jeder Betrüger, der mir ein fehlerhaftes Tier opfert, obwohl er mir ein makelloses männliches Tier aus seiner Herde versprochen hat! Denn ich bin ein großer König, ich bin der Herr, der allmächtige Gott, und werde zu Recht von den Völkern gefürchtet!

Maldito o homem que promete um belo animal do seu rebanho e acaba por substituí-lo por outro, doente, para o sacrificar ao Senhor. Eu sou um grande Rei, diz o Senhor dos exércitos! O meu nome deve ser profundamente reverenciado entre os gentios!

Förbannad är den bedräglige som lovar att offra ett handjur från sin hjord och sedan ändå offrar ett missbildat djur åt Herren. För jag är en stor kung, säger härskarornas Herre, och mitt namn är fruktat bland folken.

行 诡 诈 的 在 群 中 有 公 羊 ， 他 许 愿 却 用 有 残 疾 的 献 给 主 ， 这 人 是 可 咒 诅 的 。 因 为 我 是 大 君 王 ， 我 的 名 在 外 邦 中 是 可 畏 的 。 这 是 万 军 之 耶 和 华 说 的 。

許願時說要獻上羊群中的公羊，後來卻拿傷殘的來獻給主，這種人該受咒詛！因為我是大君王，就是外族人也敬畏我的名。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」
