Now Gaal the son of Ebed came with his relatives, and moved into Shechem; and the leaders of Shechem trusted him.

And Gaal the son of Ebed came with his brethren, and went over to Shechem: and the men of Shechem put their confidence in him.

وَجَاءَ جَعَلُ بْنُ عَابِدٍ مَعَ إِخْوَتِهِ إِلَى شَكِيمَ فَوَثِقَ بِهِ أَهْلُهَا.

Omkring den tid kom der en mand ved navn Ga’al, søn af Ebed, og han slog sig ned i Sikem sammen med sine brødre. Ga’al blev snart en indflydelsesrig mand i byen.
