Judges 6:25

Now on that same night the Lord said to Gideon, “Take your father’s bull, the second bull seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that belongs to your father, and cut down [c]the Asherah that is beside it;

And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:

Now on the same night the Lord said to him, “Take your father’s bull [r]and a second bull seven years old, and pull down the altar of Baal which belongs to your father, and cut down the [s]Asherah that is beside it;

That same night the Lord spoke to Gideon. He said, “Get the second bull from your father’s herd. Get the one that is seven years old. Tear down the altar your father built to honor the god named Baal. Cut down the pole beside it. The pole is used to worship the female god named Asherah.

That same night the Lord said to him, “Take the second bull from your father’s herd, the one seven years old.[b] Tear down your father’s altar to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole[c] beside it.

وَقَالَ الرَّبُّ لِجِدْعُونَ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ: «خُذْ ثَوْراً كَامِلَ النُّضْجِ مِنْ قَطِيعِ أَبِيكَ: وَثَوْراً ثَانِياً عُمْرُهُ سَبْعُ سَنَوَاتٍ، وَاهْدِمْ مَذْبَحَ الْبَعْلِ الَّذِي يَعْبُدُهُ أَبُوكَ، وَاقْطَعْ نُصُبَ عَشْتَارُوثَ الَّذِي إِلَى جِوَارِهِ.

Samme nat sagde Herren til Gideon: „Tag en af din fars tyre, den næstbedste, som er syv år gammel. Vælt så din fars Ba’als alter ned og hug afgudspælen ved siden af i stykker.

In der folgenden Nacht sprach der Herr zu Gideon: »Nimm den siebenjährigen Stier deines Vaters, das zweitbeste Tier aus seiner Herde![a] Reiß den Altar Baals nieder, der deinem Vater gehört, und hau den Pfahl der Göttin Aschera um, der dort steht!

その夜、主はギデオンに、父親の一番上等の雄牛を、父親の持っているバアルの祭壇のところへ引いて行き、祭壇を引き倒し、そばにある女神アシェラの木像を切り倒すように命じました。

В ту же ночь Господь сказал ему:– Возьми из стада своего отца второго, семилетнего быка6:25 Существует два толкования о том, почему Гедеон должен был взять именно второго быка: 1) потому что перворожденный бык уже был принесен в жертву по Закону (см. Исх. 13:11-15); 2) Бог проявил милость, сохранив роду главного быка-производителя.. Разрушь жертвенник Баала, который принадлежит твоему отцу, и сруби столб Ашеры6:25 Это культовый символ языческой богини Ашеры; также в остальных местах книги., что рядом с ним.
