Joshua 3:16

the waters which were flowing down from above stopped and rose up in one mass a great distance away at [c]Adam, the city that is beside Zarethan. Those [waters] flowing downward toward the sea of the Arabah, the [d]Salt Sea, were completely cut off. So the people crossed [the river] opposite Jericho.

That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho.

Right away the water coming down the river stopped flowing. It piled up far away at a town called Adam near Zarethan. The water flowing down to the Dead Sea was completely cut off. So the people went across the Jordan River opposite Jericho.

حَتَّى تَوَقَّفَتِ الْمِيَاهُ الْمُنْحَدِرَةُ مِنَ الْمُرْتَفَعَاتِ عَنِ الْجَرَيَانِ، وَأَخَذَتْ تَتَرَاكَمُ عَلَى نَفْسِهَا كَمَا لَوْ كَانَتْ مَحْجُوزَةً وَرَاءَ سَدٍّ، بَعِيداً جِدّاً عَنْ مَدِينَةِ أَدَامَ الْمُجَاوِرَةِ لِبَلْدَةِ صَرْتَانَ. أَمَّا الْمِيَاهُ الْمُنْصَبَّةُ فِي الْبَحْرِ الْمَيِّتِ فَقَدِ انْقَطَعَتْ تَمَاماً عَنْهُ. وَهَكَذَا عَبَرَ الشَّعْبُ قُبَالَةَ أَرِيحَا.

standsede vandet, som kom nordfra, hobede sig op og stod som en vold ved byen Adam nær Saretan, mens vandet på sydsiden flød bort i retning af Det Døde Hav, indtil flodlejet var tørt, så folket kunne gå over lige ved Jeriko.

突然、はるか川上のツァレタン付近の町アダムで水はせき止められ、盛り上がり始めたのです。また、その地点より川下の水は塩の海（死海）に流れ込み、ついに川床がむき出しになりました。こうして人々はみな、エリコの町に向かって渡ったのです。

갑자기 위에서 흐르던 물이 멈춰 멀리 사르단 근처에 있는 아담성에까지 둑을 이루었고 사해로 흘러가던 물은 완전히 끊어져 강바닥이 말라 버렸다. 그래서 백성들은 바로 여리고 쪽으로 건너갈 수 있었다.

imediatamente as águas começaram a amontoar-se como se tivessem encontrado um dique, e isto já muito acima, na cidade de Adão, perto de Zaretã. As águas abaixo desse ponto foram correndo para o mar Salgado[a], até que o leito ficou sem nenhuma água. Então todo o povo passou, no sítio em que o rio mais se aproximava da cidade de Jericó;

น้ำทางต้นน้ำก็หยุดไหลตั้งขึ้น ไกลจนถึงบริเวณเมืองอาดัมใกล้ศาเรธาน ส่วนสายน้ำใต้จุดนั้นไหลลงทะเลอาราบาห์ (ทะเลเกลือ[b]) จนสายน้ำขาดจากกัน ดังนั้นเหล่าประชากรจึงข้ามไปยังอีกฝั่งหนึ่งของแม่น้ำหน้าเมืองเยรีโค

往下流的水立即止住了，在很远的撒拉但附近的亚当城那里涨成一道水墙。流入亚拉巴海，即盐海的水被完全截断了，民众便走到对面的耶利哥。

那 从 上 往 下 流 的 水 便 在 极 远 之 地 、 撒 拉 但 旁 的 亚 当 城 那 里 停 住 ， 立 起 成 垒 ； 那 往 亚 拉 巴 的 海 ， 就 是 盐 海 ， 下 流 的 水 全 然 断 绝 。 於 是 百 姓 在 耶 利 哥 的 对 面 过 去 了 。
