Joshua 23:16

When you transgress (violate) the covenant of the Lord your God, which He commanded you [to follow], and you go and serve other gods and bow down to them, then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from the good land which He has given you.”

حِينَ تَتَعَدَّوْنَ عَلَى عَهْدِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمُ الَّذِي أَمَرَكُمْ بِهِ فَتَعْبُدُونَ آلِهَةً أُخْرَى وَتَسْجُدُونَ لَهَا، عِنْدَئِذٍ يَحْتَدِمُ غَضَبُ الرَّبِّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَتَنْقَرِضُونَ سَرِيعاً مِنَ الأَرْضِ الْخَيِّرَةِ الَّتِي وَهَبَهَا لَكُمْ».

หากท่านละเมิดพันธสัญญาของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของท่านซึ่งทรงบัญชาไว้ หันไปกราบไหว้ และปรนนิบัติพระอื่น พระพิโรธขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะเผาผลาญท่าน ท่านจะพินาศไปจากดินแดนอันอุดมสมบูรณ์ซึ่งพระองค์ประทานให้นี้อย่างรวดเร็ว”
