Jeremiah 42:20

that you have deceived yourselves; for you sent me to the Lord your God, saying, “Pray for us to the Lord our God; and whatever the Lord our God says, declare it to us and we will do it.”

For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the Lord your God, saying, Pray for us unto the Lord our God; and according unto all that the Lord our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.

For you have only [l]deceived yourselves; for it is you who sent me to the Lord your God, saying, “Pray for us to the Lord our God; and whatever the Lord our God says, tell us so, and we will do it.”

لأَنَّكُمْ قَدْ خَدَعْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ حِينَ بَعَثْتُمْ بِي إِلَى الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ قَائِلِينَ: صَلِّ لأَجْلِنَا إِلَى الرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا وَأَنْبِئْنَا بِكُلِّ مَا يَقُولُ فَنَفْعَلَ بِمُقْتَضَاهُ.

你们是在自欺，因为原是你们请我去向我们的上帝耶和华祈求，让我毫不隐瞒地把祂的话告诉你们，你们也答应遵行。
