Jeremiah 39:4

When Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, they fled and escaped from the city at night by way of the king’s garden, through the gate between the two walls; and the king went out toward the Arabah (Jordan Valley).

And it came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the men of war, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king's garden, by the gate betwixt the two walls: and he went out the way of the plain.

وَعِنْدَمَا شَاهَدَهُمْ صِدْقِيَّا مَلِكُ يَهُوذَا وَكُلُّ الْمُحَارِبِينَ فَرُّوا هَارِبِينَ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ لَيْلاً عَنْ طَرِيقِ جَنَّةِ الْمَلِكِ، مِنَ الْبَابِ الْقَائِمِ بَيْنَ السُّورَيْنِ، وَاتَّجَهُوا نَحْوَ الْعَرَبَةِ.

Da kong Zidkija og hans livgarde indså, at slaget var tabt, flygtede de om natten gennem paladsets have, videre igennem en korridor mellem to mure, ud ad en port i bymuren og satte kurs mod Jordandalen.

Als König Zedekia und seine Soldaten das sahen, flüchteten sie in der darauffolgenden Nacht aus der Stadt. Sie nahmen den Weg durch das Tor, das zwischen den beiden Mauern beim Garten des Königs lag, und flohen in Richtung Jordan-Ebene.

Lorsque Sédécias, roi de Juda, et tous les soldats virent cela, ils s’enfuirent et s’échappèrent de la ville de nuit par le chemin du jardin du roi, par la porte entre les deux remparts, et sortirent sur le chemin de la vallée du Jourdain.

När judakungen Sidkia och hans soldater såg dem, flydde de och lämnade staden under natten, genom den kungliga trädgården och porten mellan de två murarna. Man tog vägen mot Jordandalen.
