Jeremiah 36:29

And concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah you shall say, ‘Thus says the Lord, “You have burned this scroll, saying, ‘Why have you written on it that the king of Babylon will certainly come and destroy this land, and will cut off man and beast from it?’”

And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?

“And send this personal message to Jehoiakim king of Judah: ‘God says, You had the gall to burn this scroll and then the nerve to say, “What kind of nonsense is this written here—that the king of Babylon will come and destroy this land and kill everything in it?” 30-31 “‘Well, do you want to know what God says about Jehoiakim king of Judah? This: No descendant of his will ever rule from David’s throne. His corpse will be thrown in the street and left unburied, exposed to the hot sun and the freezing night. I will punish him and his children and the officials in his government for their blatant sin. I’ll let loose on them and everyone in Jerusalem the doomsday disaster of which I warned them but they spit at.’”

And concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah you shall say, ‘Thus says the Lord, “You have burned this scroll, saying, ‘Why have you written on it [j]that the king of Babylon will certainly come and destroy this land, and will make man and beast to cease from it?’”

Also tell King Jehoiakim, ‘The Lord says, “You burned that scroll. You said to Baruch, ‘Why did you write that the king of Babylon would certainly come? Why did you write that he would destroy this land? And why did you write that he would remove from it people and animals alike?’ ”

Also tell Jehoiakim king of Judah, ‘This is what the Lord says: You burned that scroll and said, “Why did you write on it that the king of Babylon would certainly come and destroy this land and wipe from it both man and beast?”

Also tell Jehoiakim king of Judah, “This is what the Lord says: you burned that scroll and said, ‘Why did you write on it that the king of Babylon would certainly come and destroy this land and wipe from it both man and beast?’

Then say to the king, ‘This is what the Lord says: You burned the scroll because it said the king of Babylon would destroy this land and empty it of people and animals.

وَقُلْ فِيهِ عَنْ يَهُويَاقِيمَ مَلِكِ يَهُوذَا: هَذَا مَا يُعْلِنُهُ الرَّبُّ: إِنَّكَ قَدْ أَحْرَقْتَ هَذَا الْكِتَابَ قَائِلاً: لِمَاذَا دَوَّنْتَ فِيهِ أَنَّ مَلِكَ بَابِلَ سَيَزْحَفُ عَلَى هَذِهِ الأَرْضِ وَيُدَمِّرُهَا وَيَقْضِي عَلَى مَا فِيهَا مِنْ إِنْسَانٍ وَحَيَوَانٍ؟

Og sig så til kongen: Herren siger: Du brændte bogrullen, fordi der stod, at den babyloniske konge skal ødelægge landet og gøre det folketomt.

Richte Jojakim aus:So spricht der Herr: Du hast die erste Rolle verbrannt und Jeremia gefragt: ›Warum kündigst du an, dass der König von Babylonien unser Land ganz bestimmt angreifen und zu einer Wüste machen wird, in der es keine Menschen und Tiere mehr gibt?‹

Também diga a Jeoaquim, rei de Judá: Assim diz o Senhor: Você queimou aquele rolo e perguntou: ‘Por que você escreveu nele que o rei da Babilônia virá e destruirá esta terra e dela eliminará tanto homens como animais?’”

E diz ao rei: ‘Assim diz o Senhor: tu queimaste o rolo, porque dizia que o rei da Babilónia iria destruir esta nação e matar os seus habitantes e animais.

Iar lui Iehoiachim, regele lui Iuda, să-i spui că aşa vorbeşte Domnul: «Ai ars sulul acela şi ai întrebat: ‘De ce ai scris pe el că împăratul Babilonului va veni, va distruge ţara aceasta şi va nimici din mijlocul ei oamenii şi animalele?’»

论到犹大王约雅敬，你要这样写，‘耶和华说，你把卷轴烧掉，还说为什么上面写着巴比伦王必来毁灭这地方和其中的人畜。

论 到 犹 大 王 约 雅 敬 你 要 说 ， 耶 和 华 如 此 说 ： 你 烧 了 书 卷 ， 说 ： 你 为 甚 麽 在 其 上 写 着 ， 说 巴 比 伦 王 必 要 来 毁 灭 这 地 ， 使 这 地 上 绝 了 人 民 牲 畜 呢 ？

論到猶大王約雅敬，你要這樣寫，『耶和華說，你把卷軸燒掉，還說為什麼上面寫著巴比倫王必來毀滅這地方和其中的人畜。
