Jeremiah 24:9

I will make them a focus of ridicule and disappointment [tossed back and forth] among all the kingdoms of the earth, a [notorious] disgrace, a byword, a taunt and a curse in all places where I will scatter them.

And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all places whither I shall drive them.

وَأُوْقِعُهُمْ فِي الضِّيقِ وَالشَّرِّ فِي جَمِيعِ مَمَالِكِ الأَرْضِ، وَأَجْعَلُهُمْ عَاراً وَعِبْرَةً وَأُحْدُوثَةً وَلَعْنَةً فِي جَمِيعِ الأَمَاكِنِ الَّتِي أُجْلِيهِمْ إِلَيْهَا.

Jeg vil sørge for, at alle folkeslag på jorden vil afsky dem. De vil blive hånet og spottet, hadet og forbandet overalt, hvor jeg jager dem hen.

In allen Königreichen der Erde wird man über ihr Unglück entsetzt sein und sie verspotten. Wohin ich sie auch verjage, überall wird ihr Elend sprichwörtlich sein. Wer einen anderen verhöhnen oder verfluchen will, wird ihm das gleiche Schicksal herbeiwünschen, das sie getroffen hat.
