how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal [Holy] Spirit willingly offered Himself unblemished [that is, without moral or spiritual imperfection as a sacrifice] to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the ever living God?

But Christ offered himself to God without any flaw. He did this through the power of the eternal Holy Spirit. So how much cleaner will the blood of Christ make us! It washes away our feelings of guilt for committing sin. Sin always leads to death. But now we can serve the living God.

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death,[c] so that we may serve the living God!

更何况基督借着永恒的灵把自己毫无瑕疵地献给上帝呢？祂的血岂不更能洗净我们的良心，使我们脱离导致灭亡的行为，以便事奉永活的上帝吗？

更何況基督藉著永恆的靈把自己毫無瑕疵地獻給上帝呢？祂的血豈不更能洗淨我們的良心，使我們脫離導致滅亡的行為，以便事奉永活的上帝嗎？
