Genesis 39:11

Then it happened one day that Joseph went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the men of the household was there in the house.

And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.

Now it happened [m]one day that he went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the household was there inside.

そんなある日のこと、ヨセフは家で仕事をしていました。たまたま周囲にはだれもいません。この時とばかり彼女がやって来て、ヨセフの袖をつかみました。 12-13 「ちょっと私の部屋に来ておくれ。」とんでもないと、ヨセフがその手を振り払って逃げようとしたところ、上着が脱げてしまいました。しかし彼はそのまま家の外へ逃げ出しました。彼女はそのうしろ姿を、残された上着を手にしたままじっと見つめていましたが、 14-15 突然叫び声を上げました。何事が起こったのかと、男たちが駆けつけると、彼女が興奮して泣いています。「私の主人が、あんなヘブル人（イスラエル人）の奴隷なんか連れて来るからいけないのよ。おかげで危ない目に会うところだったわ。とてもひどいことをしようとしたので、私、大声で叫んでやったわ。そうしたら、上着を置いたままあわてて逃げ出したのよ。」
