Ezra 9:7

Since the days of our fathers to this day we have been exceedingly guilty; and on account of our wrongdoings we, our kings, and our priests have been handed over to the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, to plundering, and to complete shame, as it is today.

Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.

Since the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great guilt, and on account of our iniquities we, our kings and our priests have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity and to plunder and to [e]open shame, as it is this day.

We are filled with it. It has been like that ever since the days of our people who lived long ago. Kings of other countries have killed many of us and our kings and priests with their swords. They’ve forced others to leave their own land. They’ve taken them away as prisoners. They’ve robbed others. They’ve made still others feel ashamed and dishonored. All these things have happened to us because we’ve committed so many sins. And that’s how things still are to this day.

From the days of our ancestors until now, our guilt has been great. Because of our sins, we and our kings and our priests have been subjected to the sword and captivity, to pillage and humiliation at the hand of foreign kings, as it is today.

فَإِنَّنَا مُنْذُ عَهْدِ آبَائِنَا وَإِلَى هَذَا الْيَوْمِ غَارِقُونَ فِي إِثْمٍ عَظِيمٍ. وَمِنْ جَرَّاءِ مَعَاصِينَا سَطَا عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى مُلُوكِنَا وَكَهَنَتِنَا سَيْفُ الأُمَمِ الْمُحِيطَةِ بِنَا، وَتَعَرَّضْنَا لِلسَّبْيِ وَالنَّهْبِ وَالْعَارِ إِلَى هَذَا الْيَوْمِ.

Vores folks historie er fra ende til anden en sørgelig beretning om synd og frafald, og derfor blev vi og vores konger og præster konstant overfaldet, plyndret, sendt i eksil og hånet af ugudelige konger lige til i dag.

Depuis l’époque de nos ancêtres jusqu’à ce jour, nous avons été extrêmement coupables. C’est à cause de nos fautes que nous, nos rois et nos prêtres, nous avons été livrés au pouvoir des rois des nations, pour être tués, déportés ou pillés, et pour que la honte couvre encore aujourd’hui nos visages.

私どもの歴史はすべて罪の歴史であり、歴代の王や祭司が異教徒の王の手で葬られたのもこのためです。そのあげく捕囚の身となり、略奪をほしいままにされ、はずかしめを受けました。ごらんのとおりです。

우리 조상 때부터 지금까지 우리는 줄곧 죄만 지어 왔습니다. 우리의 죄 때문에 우리는 물론 우리 왕들과 제사장들이 외국 왕들의 손에 죽고 약탈을 당했으며 포로로 잡혀가 오늘날까지도 수모를 당하고 있습니다.

De geschiedenis van ons volk vertelt van niets dan zonde. Daarom vielen wij en onze koningen en priesters in handen van heidense koningen. We werden gedood, gevangengenomen, beroofd en in het openbaar vernederd tot vandaag toe.

Desde os dias dos nossos antepassados até agora, a nossa culpa tem sido grande. Por causa dos nossos pecados, nós, os nossos reis e os nossos sacerdotes temos sido entregues à espada e ao cativeiro, ao despojo e à humilhação nas mãos de reis estrangeiros, como acontece hoje.

Toda a nossa história traz a marca do pecado; por essa razão, os nossos reis e os nossos sacerdotes foram mortos por reis pagãos; fomos feitos cativos, fomos roubados e desgraçados, tal como ainda hoje acontece.

Din vremea strămoşilor noştri şi până în ziua de astăzi am fost foarte vinovaţi şi, din cauza fărădelegilor noastre, noi, regii noştri şi preoţii noştri am fost daţi pe mâna împăraţilor străini, a sabiei, a sclaviei, a jafului şi a ruşinii, aşa cum se vede şi astăzi.

Från våra förfäders tid intill nu har vår skuld varit stor. För våra synders skull har vi, våra kungar och präster utlämnats åt främmande kungar, åt fångenskap och plundring och skam, precis som nu.

นับแต่สมัยบรรพบุรุษจวบจนบัดนี้ ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายมีความผิดใหญ่หลวง เพราะบาปของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายทำให้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายกับกษัตริย์และเหล่าปุโรหิตตกเป็นเหยื่อคมดาบ ตกเป็นเชลยถูกย่ำยีและถูกปล้นชิง ได้รับความอัปยศอดสูโดยน้ำมือของบรรดากษัตริย์ต่างชาติดังเช่นทุกวันนี้
