Ezekiel 47:18

“The east side, from between Hauran, Damascus, Gilead, and the land of Israel, shall be the Jordan; from the north border to the eastern sea you shall measure. This is the east side.

And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And this is the east side.

“The eastern boundary runs between Damascus and Hauran, down along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel to the Eastern Sea as far as Tamar. This is the eastern boundary.

“The east side, from between Hauran, Damascus, Gilead and the land of Israel, shall be the Jordan; from the north border to the eastern sea you shall measure. This is the east side.

“On the east side the border will run between Hauran and Damascus. It will continue along the Jordan River between Gilead and the land of Israel. It will reach to the Dead Sea and all the way to Tamar. This will be the eastern border.

“On the east side the boundary will run between Hauran and Damascus, along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel, to the Dead Sea and as far as Tamar.[e] This will be the eastern boundary.

وَتَمْتَدُّ الْحُدُودُ الشَّرْقِيَّةُ مِنْ حَصْرَ عِينَانَ، بَيْنَ حَوْرَانَ وَدِمَشْقَ وَعَلَى طُولِ الأُرْدُنِّ الْفَاصِلِ بَيْنَ جَلْعَادَ وَإِسْرَائِيلَ، مُرُوراً بِالْبَحْرِ الْمَيِّتِ حَتَّى ثامَارَ. فَتَكُونُ هَذِهِ هِيَ حُدُودُكُمُ الشَّرْقِيَّةُ.

Den østlige grænse løber fra Hatzar-Enon i det nordøstlige hjørne til Haurans bjerg, hvorefter den slår en bue mod vest hen til Jordanfloden og videre sydpå til Galilæasøen. Derefter følger den Jordanfloden mod syd, hvor den adskiller Israel fra Gilead, og videre gennem Det Døde Hav til Tamar.

東の境界線は、ハツァル・エナンからハウラン山へと南下し、そこで西に曲がってガリラヤ湖の南岸から、イスラエルとギルアデとを分けるヨルダン川に沿って死海に下り、さらにタマルに至る。

De oostgrens zal vanaf Hazar-Enon in zuidelijke richting naar de berg Hauran lopen, waar hij naar het westen in de richting van de Jordaan zal afbuigen tot aan de zuidelijke punt van het Meer van Galilea. Vandaar loopt hij verder langs de Jordaan en voorbij de Dode Zee naar Tamar, op die manier Israël van Gilead scheidend.
