The side chambers became wider at each successive level as they encompassed the temple. Because the structure surrounding the temple went higher by stages on all sides of the temple, for that reason the width of the temple increased as it went higher; and thus one went up from the lowest story to the highest one by way of the [e]second story.

And there was an enlarging, and a winding about still upward to the side chambers: for the winding about of the house went still upward round about the house: therefore the breadth of the house was still upward, and so increased from the lowest chamber to the highest by the midst.

Eine Treppe führte vom untersten Stockwerk über das mittlere zum oberen hinauf.[b] 8-11 Die Außenwand des Anbaus war 2,5 Meter dick. Ich sah, dass der Tempel und sein Anbau auf einer Plattform standen, die gut 3 Meter hoch war. Sie war breiter als das ganze Gebäude und verlief ringsum als eine Terrasse von 2,5 Metern Breite. An der Nordseite und an der Südseite des Anbaus befand sich je eine Tür zur Terrasse. Die Plattform war von einem unbebauten Streifen umgeben, der eine Breite von 10 Metern hatte.[c]

Varje våning med sina sidorum blev bredare ju högre upp den låg kring byggnaden. Det var alltså en sidobyggnad runt templet ända upp, allt bredare inåt ju högre upp den låg. En trappa ledde upp från den nedersta våningen till den översta genom den mellersta.
