Ezekiel 33:31

They come to you as people come, and they sit before you as My people, and they hear your words, but they do not practice them; for with their mouth they express loving devotion, but their heart goes after their (unlawful) gain.

And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

My people come to you, just as they usually do. They sit in front of you. They hear what you say. But they do not put it into practice. With their mouths they say they love me. But in their hearts they want what belongs to others. They try to get rich by cheating them.

So my people come pretending to be sincere and sit before you. They listen to your words, but they have no intention of doing what you say. Their mouths are full of lustful words, and their hearts seek only after money.

وَيُقْبِلُونَ إِلَيْكَ مِثْلَ سَائِرِ الشَّعْبِ وَيَجْلِسُونَ فِي حَضْرَتِكَ نَظِيرَ شَعْبِي، وَيُصْغُونَ إِلَى كَلامِكَ وَلا يَعْمَلُونَ بِهِ. إِنَّهُمْ يُعْرِبُونَ عَنْ أَشْوَاقِهِمْ بِكَلامِهِمْ، أَمَّا قَلْبُهُمْ فَقَدْ غَوَى وَرَاءَ مَكْسَبِهِمْ.

Så stimler de sammen hos dig og sætter sig ned for at høre på dig. Men de har ikke tænkt sig at adlyde mine ord, for de taler altid om deres egne ønsker, og de er mest optaget af at søge efter penge og profit.

En zo komt mijn volk zoals gewoonlijk naar u toe en gaat zitten om naar u te luisteren. Maar intussen zijn zij helemaal niet van plan te doen wat Ik hun opdraag, zij kunnen uren praten over het liefhebben van de Here, maar het enige dat hen interesseert is hoe zij zo snel mogelijk rijk kunnen worden.

O meu povo vem a você, como costuma fazer, e se assenta para ouvir as suas palavras, mas não as põe em prática. Com a boca eles expressam devoção, mas o coração deles está ávido de ganhos injustos.

Então aproximam-se, com o ar de quem é muito sincero, e sentam-se para ouvir, mas por dentro não têm a mínima intenção de fazer o que lhes é ordenado. Falam com hipocrisia sobre amar o Senhor, mas nos seus corações o que reina é o amor ao dinheiro.

Mitt folk kommer till dig så som folk brukar komma, och de sätter sig framför dig för att lyssna till dig, men de handlar inte enligt det de hör av dig. De talar som om de vore hängivna, men i verkligheten är de ute efter egen vinning.
