Ezekiel 33:11

Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back (change your way of thinking), turn back [in repentance] from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?’

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

“Tell them, ‘As sure as I am the living God, I take no pleasure from the death of the wicked. I want the wicked to change their ways and live. Turn your life around! Reverse your evil ways! Why die, Israel?’ 12-13 “There’s more, son of man. Tell your people, ‘A good person’s good life won’t save him when he decides to rebel, and a bad person’s bad life won’t prevent him from repenting of his rebellion. A good person who sins can’t expect to live when he chooses to sin. It’s true that I tell good people, “Live! Be alive!” But if they trust in their good deeds and turn to evil, that good life won’t amount to a hill of beans. They’ll die for their evil life. 14-16 “‘On the other hand, if I tell a wicked person, “You’ll die for your wicked life,” and he repents of his sin and starts living a righteous and just life—being generous to the down-and-out, restoring what he had stolen, cultivating life-nourishing ways that don’t hurt others—he’ll live. He won’t die. None of his sins will be kept on the books. He’s doing what’s right, living a good life. He’ll live. 17-19 “‘Your people say, “The Master’s way isn’t fair.” But it’s the way they’re living that isn’t fair. When good people turn back from living good lives and plunge into sin, they’ll die for it. And when a wicked person turns away from his wicked life and starts living a just and righteous life, he’ll come alive.

Say to them, ‘As I live!’ declares the Lord [e]God, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then will you die, O house of Israel?’

Tell them, ‘When sinful people die, it does not give me any joy. But when they turn away from their sins and live, that makes me very happy. And that is just as sure as I am alive,’ announces the Lord and King. ‘So turn away from your sins! Change your evil ways! Why should you die, people of Israel?’

Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, people of Israel?’

As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die?

قُلْ لَهُمْ: حَيٌّ أَنَا يَقُولُ السَّيِّدُ الرَّبُّ، إِنِّي لَا أَبْتَهِجُ بِمَوْتِ الشِّرِّيرِ بَلْ بِأَنْ يَرْتَدِعَ عَنْ غِيِّهِ وَيَحْيَا. ارْجِعُوا، ارْجِعُوا عَنْ طُرُقِكُمِ الرَّدِيئَةِ! لِمَاذَا تَمُوتُونَ يَا شَعْبَ إِسْرَائِيلَ؟

Sig til dem: Så sandt jeg lever, siger Herren, jeg har ingen glæde af, at de onde skal dø. Jeg vil meget hellere se dem omvende sig fra deres ondskab, så de kan redde livet. Åh Israel, omvend jer dog fra jeres synder! Hvorfor ønsker I at dø?

Doch ich, Gott, der Herr, schwöre, so wahr ich lebe: Mir macht es keine Freude, wenn ein Gottloser sterben muss. Nein, ich freue mich, wenn er von seinen falschen Wegen umkehrt und am Leben bleibt. Kehrt um, verlasst die alten Wege! Warum wollt ihr sterben, ihr Israeliten?

Détournez-vous, détournez-vous donc de votre mauvaise conduite ! Pourquoi devriez-vous mourir, gens d’Israël ? »

Karon, silinga sila nga ako, ang Ginoong Dios nga buhi, nagasumpa nga wala ako nagakalipay kon may mapatay nga malaot nga tawo. Ang gusto ko, magbiya siya sa iya malaot nga pagginawi agod mabuhi siya. Gani kamo nga katawhan sang Israel, magbiya na kamo sa inyo malaot nga pagginawi. Ngaa bala luyag ninyo nga mapatay?

彼らに告げなさい。神である主がこう語る、と。わたしは生きている。わたしは悪者どもの死を喜ばない。それどころか、悪者が悪の道から悔い改めて生きるようになることを願っている。さあ帰って来なさい。悪の道から離れ、立ち返るのだ。ああ、イスラエルよ。なぜ、そんなにも死にたがるのか。

나 주 여호와가 분명히 말하지만 나는 악인이 죽는 것을 기뻐하지 않고 오히려 악인이 악한 길에서 떠나 사는 것을 기뻐한다. 이스라엘 백성아, 너희는 악한 길에서 돌아서라! 너희가 어째서 죽으려고 하느냐?

Zeg hun: “Zo waar Ik leef, zegt de Oppermachtige Here, de dood van de goddelozen doet Mij geen genoegen. Integendeel, Ik wil graag dat de goddeloze zijn zonden de rug toekeert en in leven blijft. Bekeer u van uw goddeloosheid, want waarom zou u sterven, Israël?

Diga-lhes: Juro pela minha vida, palavra do Soberano, o Senhor, que não tenho prazer na morte dos ímpios, antes tenho prazer em que eles se desviem dos seus caminhos e vivam. Voltem! Voltem-se dos seus maus caminhos! Por que o seu povo haveria de morrer, ó nação de Israel?

Responde-lhes então: Tão certo como eu viver, diz o Senhor Deus, que não tenho prazer na morte do pecador; o que eu pretendo é que ele se converta do seu mau caminho e que viva. Convertam-se, convertam-se da vossa vida de maldade! Porque haveriam de morrer, ó Israel?

你要告诉他们，主耶和华说，“我凭我的永恒起誓，我绝不喜欢恶人死亡，我更愿意恶人改邪归正，得以存活。以色列人啊，回头吧！回头吧！改邪归正吧！何必自取灭亡呢？”’

你 对 他 们 说 ， 主 耶 和 华 说 ： 我 指 着 我 的 永 生 起 誓 ， 我 断 不 喜 悦 恶 人 死 亡 ， 惟 喜 悦 恶 人 转 离 所 行 的 道 而 活 。 以 色 列 家 啊 ， 你 们 转 回 ， 转 回 罢 ！ 离 开 恶 道 ， 何 必 死 亡 呢 ？
