Exodus 32:14

So the Lord changed His mind about the harm which He had said He would do to His people.

And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

And God did think twice. He decided not to do the evil he had threatened against his people. 15-16 Moses turned around and came down from the mountain, carrying the two tablets of The Testimony. The tablets were written on both sides, front and back. God made the tablets and God wrote the tablets—engraved them.

So the Lord changed His mind about the harm which He said He would do to His people.

Then the Lord took pity on his people. He didn’t destroy them as he had said he would.

Then the Lord relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.

فَتَرَاءَفَ الرَّبُّ وَلَمْ يُوْقِعْ بِشَعْبِهِ الْعِقَابَ الَّذِي تَوَعَّدَ بِهِ.

Da gjorde Herren ikke alvor af sin trussel, men skånede folket for den ulykke, han havde truet med.

Då ångrade Herren sig och skonade dem.
