Exodus 32:12

Why should the Egyptians say, ‘With evil [intent] their God brought them out to kill them in the mountains and destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn away from Your burning anger and change Your mind about harming Your people.

Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.

Why should the Egyptians say, ‘He brought them out to hurt them. He wanted to kill them in the mountains. He wanted to wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn away from your great anger. Please take pity on your people. Don’t destroy them!

Why should the Egyptians say, ‘It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people.

لِمَاذَا يَشْمَتُ الْمِصْرِيُّونَ فِينَا قَائِلِينَ: لَقَدِ احْتَالَ عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَهُهُمْ فَأَخْرَجَهُمْ مِنْ هَهُنَا لِيُهْلِكَهُمْ فِي الْجِبَالِ وَيُفْنِيَهُمْ عَنْ وَجْهِ الأَرْضِ. ارْجِعْ عَنْ حُمُوِّ غَضَبِكَ وَلا تُوْقِعْ هَذَا الْعِقَابَ بِشَعْبِكَ.

Pourquoi les Egyptiens diraient-ils que c’est dans de mauvaises intentions que leur Dieu les a fait sortir de leur pays : pour les faire périr dans la région des montagnes et les faire disparaître de la terre ? Laisse ta colère et renonce à envoyer le malheur à ton peuple.

そのようなことをなさったら、エジプト人は何と言うでしょう。『それ見ろ。イスラエルの神は彼らをだまして山へ連れ出したのだ。その証拠に、彼らは一人残らず殺されてしまった』とあざけるかもしれません。どうぞ怒りを収めてください。そんな恐ろしいさばきは思いとどまってください。

어째서 이집트 사람들이 ‘여호와가 자기 백성을 산에서 죽여 지상에서 없애 버리려고 그들을 이집트에서 끌어내었다’ 는 말을 하게 하려고 하십니까? 제발 분노를 거두시고 뜻을 돌이키셔서 주의 백성에게 이 재앙을 내리지 마소서.
