Exodus 20:11

For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything that is in them, and He rested (ceased) on the seventh day. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy [that is, set it apart for His purposes].

لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ صَنَعَ السَّمَاءَ وَالأَرْضَ وَالْبَحْرَ وَكُلَّ مَا فِيهَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ، ثُمَّ اسْتَراحَ فِي الْيَوْمِ الْسَّابِعِ. لِهَذَا بَارَكَ الرَّبُّ يَوْمَ السَّبْتِ وَجَعَلَهُ مُقَدَّساً.

Jeg brugte seks dage til at skabe jorden, himlen, havet og alt hvad der findes i dem, men jeg hvilede på den syvende dag. Derfor velsignede jeg hviledagen og gjorde den hellig.
