Exodus 14:20

So it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. It was a cloud along with darkness [even by day to the Egyptians], but it gave light by night [to the Israelites]; so one [army] did not come near the other all night.

The cloud settled between the Egyptian and Israelite camps. As darkness fell, the cloud turned to fire, lighting up the night. But the Egyptians and Israelites did not approach each other all night.

فَدَخَلَ بَيْنَ عَسْكَرِ الْمِصْرِيِّينَ وَعَسْكَرِ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ، وَصَارَ عَمُودُ السَّحَابِ ظَلاماً قَاتِماً عَلَى الْمِصْرِيِّينَ، وَضِيَاءً عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، فَلَمْ يَقْتَرِبْ أَحَدُهُمَا مِنَ الآخَرِ طَوَالَ اللَّيْلِ.

så den stod mellem israelitterne og egypterne. Om natten var der således lyst på israelitternes side og bælgmørkt på den egyptiske side. På den måde kom de ikke i nærheden af hinanden hele natten.

Zo kwam de wolk tussen de Israëlieten en het Egyptische leger te staan. Deze zorgde aan de Egyptische kant voor een diepe duisternis, maar verschafte de Israëlieten tegelijkertijd licht, zodat zij verder konden trekken. Zo kregen de Egyptenaren geen kans de Israëlieten te naderen!

så att den befann sig mellan Israels och Egyptens arméer. Hela natten gav den mörker men samtidigt ljus[a]. Därför kom ingen av arméerna i närheten av varandra under hela natten.

云柱停在埃及军队和以色列人的中间，埃及军队这边一片黑暗，以色列人那边却有光，双方整夜都无法接近对方。
