Exodus 14:12

Did we not say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians?’ For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians [as slaves] than to die in the wilderness.” The Sea Is Divided

Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

We told you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone. Let us serve the Egyptians.’ It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die here in the desert!”

أَلَمْ نَقُلْ لَكَ فِي مِصْرَ: دَعْنَا وَشَأْنَنَا فَنَخْدُمَ الْمِصْرِيِّينَ، إذْ كَانَ خَيْراً لَنَا أَنْ نَخْدُمَ الْمِصْرِيِّينَ مِنْ أَنْ نَمُوتَ فِي الصَّحْرَاءِ».

Sagde vi ikke til dig dengang, at du skulle lade os være i fred? Hellere være slaver for egypterne end blive slagtet ned her i ørkenen!”

Haben wir dir nicht schon dort gesagt, du solltest uns in Ruhe lassen? Wir hätten bleiben und den Ägyptern dienen sollen. Lieber wären wir ihre Sklaven geblieben, als hier in der Wüste umzukommen!«

Nous te l’avions bien dit, lorsque nous étions encore là-bas : « Laisse-nous tranquilles, nous voulons être esclaves des Egyptiens ! » Car mieux vaut pour nous cela que de mourir au désert.

そもそも初めからおかしいと思ったのです。だからあの時も、このまま放っておいてくれと言ったのに。こんな荒野で死ぬくらいなら、エジプトで奴隷になっていたほうがまだましです。」

우리가 이집트에서 당신에게 이집트 사람을 섬길 수 있도록 내버려 달라고 하지 않았습니까? 이집트 사람을 섬기는 것이 광야에서 죽는 것보다는 낫겠습니다.”

Wij hebben het u toch al gezegd toen wij nog slaven waren: “Laat ons met rust, we kunnen beter slaven zijn dan in de woestijn sterven.” ’

Já lhe tínhamos dito no Egito: Deixe-nos em paz! Seremos escravos dos egípcios! Antes ser escravos dos egípcios do que morrer no deserto!”

Nós sempre te dissemos que nos deixasses em paz, e que era muito melhor sermos escravos no Egito do que vir a morrer neste deserto!”

Nu-ţi spuneam noi în Egipt să ne laşi să lucrăm pentru egipteni? Ar fi fost mult mai bine pentru noi să lucrăm pentru egipteni decât să murim în pustie.

Var det inte det vi sa att du skulle låta oss vara i fred och tjäna egypterna? Det var ju bättre att vara slavar i Egypten än att dö i öknen.”

เราบอกท่านตั้งแต่อยู่ที่อียิปต์แล้วไม่ใช่หรือว่า ‘อย่ามายุ่งกับพวกเรา ปล่อยให้เรารับใช้ชาวอียิปต์’? ปล่อยให้เรารับใช้ชาวอียิปต์ก็ยังดีกว่าเอาชีวิตมาทิ้งในถิ่นกันดารนี้!”

我们对你说过，别管我们，就让我们服侍埃及人吧。服侍埃及人总比死在旷野好啊！”

我 们 在 埃 及 岂 没 有 对 你 说 过 ， 不 要 搅 扰 我 们 ， 容 我 们 服 事 埃 及 人 麽 ？ 因 为 服 事 埃 及 人 比 死 在 旷 野 还 好 。

我們對你說過，別管我們，就讓我們服侍埃及人吧。服侍埃及人總比死在曠野好啊！」
