The couriers went out hurriedly by order of the king, and the decree was issued at the citadel in Susa. And while the king and Haman sat down to drink, the city of Susa was perplexed [by the unusual and alarming decree].

The posts went out, being hastened by the king's commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.

At the king’s command, the couriers took off; the order was also posted in the palace complex of Susa. The king and Haman sat back and had a drink while the city of Susa reeled from the news.

The couriers went out impelled by the king’s command while the decree was [j]issued at the citadel in Susa; and while the king and Haman sat down to drink, the city of Susa was in confusion.

The king commanded the messengers to go out. So they did. The order was sent out from the fort of Susa. Then the king and Haman sat down to drink wine. But the people in the city were bewildered.

وَهَكَذَا انْطَلَقَ السُّعَاةُ مُسْرِعِينَ تَلْبِيَةً لأَمْرِ الْمَلِكِ، بَعْدَ أَنْ صَدَرَ الأَمْرُ فِي شُوشَنَ الْعَاصِمَةِ. وَجَلَسَ الْمَلِكُ وَهَامَانُ يَتَنَادَمَانِ عَلَى الشَّرَابِ. أَمَّا أَهْلُ شُوشَنَ فَقَدِ اعْتَرَتْهُمُ الْحَيْرَةُ!

På kongens befaling blev bestemmelsen først offentliggjort i regeringsbyen Susa, hvorefter sendebudene skyndte sig af sted til alle rigets provinser. Kongen og Haman satte sig derefter til at drikke. Men jøderne i Susa var rædselsslagne.

勅令は、まずシュシャンの都で発令されたのち、至急便で各地方へ送られました。都が騒然とし始めたころ、王とハマンは酒をくみ交わし、上機嫌になっていました。

황제의 명령에 따라 그 조서는 수산성에도 공포되었다. 그때 황제와 하만은 함께 앉아 술을 마시고 있었으나 수산성은 혼란과 불안에 휩싸여 있었다.

De koeriers vertrokken in grote haast, nadat het bevel eerst was bekendgemaakt in de stad Susan. En terwijl de koning en Haman samen rustig zaten te drinken, raakte de stad in rep en roer.

Ilbuden gick ut omedelbart på kungens befallning, och lagen tillkännagavs i Susas borg. Kungen och Haman slog sig ner för att dricka tillsammans, medan bestörtning rådde i staden Susa.

信差奉王的命令急忙上路，谕旨也在书珊城里颁布了。王和哈曼坐下饮酒，书珊城一片慌乱。

驿 卒 奉 王 命 急 忙 起 行 ， 旨 意 也 传 遍 书 珊 城 。 王 同 哈 曼 坐 下 饮 酒 ， 书 珊 城 的 民 却 都 慌 乱 。
