Deuteronomy 24:19

“[e]When you reap your harvest in your field and have forgotten a sheaf [of grain] in the field, you shall not go back to get it; it shall be for the stranger, for the orphan, and for the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.

When you are gathering crops in your field, you might leave some grain behind by mistake. Don’t go back to get it. Leave it behind for outsiders and widows. Leave it for children whose fathers have died. Then the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.

Hvis I under høstarbejdet overser et neg på marken, skal I lade det ligge, så den fremmede, enken eller den forældreløse kan samle det op. Så vil Herren velsigne jer i jeres arbejde.

Quand tu moissonneras ton champ, si tu oublies une gerbe dans le champ, ne retourne pas pour la ramasser, laisse-la pour l’immigré, pour l’orphelin ou la veuve, afin que l’Eternel ton Dieu te bénisse dans tout ce que tu entreprendras.

刈り入れをし、畑に一束置き忘れて来たら、わざわざ取りに戻らず、移住者や身寄りのない子、未亡人のために残しておきなさい。そうすれば、あなたの神、主があなたによくしてくださいます。

Om du glömmer kvar en kärve på åkern när du bärgar din skörd, ska du inte gå tillbaka för att hämta den. Lämna den kvar åt främlingar, faderlösa och änkor. Då ska Herren välsigna dig i allt du gör.
