Deuteronomy 2:13

‘Now [c]arise and cross the valley of the [d]Zered.’ So we crossed the Zered Valley.

Now rise up, said I, and get you over the brook Zered. And we went over the brook Zered.

God said, “It’s time now to cross the Brook Zered.” So we crossed the Brook Zered. 14-15 It took us thirty-eight years to get from Kadesh Barnea to the Brook Zered. That’s how long it took for the entire generation of soldiers from the camp to die off, as God had sworn they would. God was relentless against them until the last one was gone from the camp. 16-23 When the last of these soldiers had died, God said to me, “This is the day you cut across the territory of Moab, at Ar. When you approach the People of Ammon, don’t try and pick a fight with them because I’m not giving you any of the land of the People of Ammon for yourselves—I’ve already given it to the People of Lot.” It is also considered to have once been the land of the Rephaites. Rephaites lived there long ago—the Ammonites called them Zamzummites (Barbarians)—huge mobs of them, giants like the Anakites. God destroyed them and the Ammonites moved in and took over. It was the same with the People of Esau who live in Seir—God got rid of the Horites who lived there earlier and they moved in and took over, as you can see. Regarding the Avvites who lived in villages as far as Gaza, the Caphtorites who came from Caphtor (Crete) wiped them out and moved in. 24-25 “On your feet now. Get started. Cross the Brook Arnon. Look: Here’s Sihon the Amorite king of Heshbon and his land. I’m handing it over to you—it’s all yours. Go ahead, take it. Go to war with him. Before the day is out, I’ll make sure that all the people around here are thoroughly terrified. Rumors of you are going to spread like wildfire; they’ll totally panic.” 26-28 From the Wilderness of Kedemoth, I sent messengers to Sihon, king of Heshbon. They carried a friendly message: “Let me cross through your land on the highway. I’ll stay right on the highway; I won’t trespass right or left. I’ll pay you for any food or water we might need. Let me walk through.

‘Now arise and cross over the [h]brook Zered yourselves.’ So we crossed over the [i]brook Zered.

The Lord said, “Now get up. Go across the Zered Valley.” So we went across it.

And the Lord said, “Now get up and cross the Zered Valley.” So we crossed the valley.

And the Lord said, ‘Now get up and cross the Zered Valley.’ So we crossed the valley.

Moses continued, “Then the Lord said to us, ‘Get moving. Cross the Zered Brook.’ So we crossed the brook.

وَالآنَ انْهَضُوا وَاعْبُرُوا وَادِي زَارَدَ. وَهَكَذَا عَبَرْنَا وَادِي زَارَدَ.

‚Gå nu over Zered-wadien,’[b] sagde Herren. Det gjorde vi så. 14-16 Der var altså gået 38 år, fra vi begyndte ørkenvandringen ud fra Kadesh, til vi nåede Zered-wadien. Herren havde sørget for, at alle de mænd, der 38 år tidligere var gamle nok til at bære våben, nu var døde. Herren forhindrede således folket i at komme ind i landet, indtil hele den generation, der gjorde oprør imod ham, var uddød.

Der Herr befahl: »Macht euch auf und überquert den Bach Sered!« Wir gehorchten.

«El Señor ordenó: “¡En marcha! ¡Cruzad el arroyo Zéred!” Y así lo hicimos.

« Maintenant, dit l’Eternel, en route, traversez le torrent du Zéred. » Nous avons donc traversé le torrent du Zéred[f].

“Dayon nagsiling ang Ginoo nga matabok kita sa Zered nga ililigan sang tubig, gani nagtabok kita.

『さあ、ゼレデ川を渡りなさい』と主に命じられ、私たちは従いました。 14-15 こうしてみると、カデシュに着いてからゼレデ川を渡るまで、実に三十八年もかかったことになります。それというのも三十八年前、すでに成人し、戦いに出られるようになっていた者が死に絶えるまでそうはならないと、主が誓われたからです。そのおことばどおり彼らは全員、罪の報いを受けました。 16-17 そして、待ちに待った主のおことばがありました。

“다음으로 우리는 여호와의 명령에 따라 세렛 시내를 건넜습니다.

“Agora atravessem o ribeiro de Zerede”, disse-nos o Senhor, e assim fizemos. 14-17 Desta forma, levámos 38 anos para finalmente atravessar o ribeiro de Zerede vindos de Cades-Barneia. Pois o Senhor tinha estipulado que isso não haveria de acontecer antes que todos os homens que naquela altura tinham idade para combater tivessem morrido. Até que, por fim, o Senhor disse-me:

«Acum ridicaţi-vă şi traversaţi uedul[c] Zared!» Şi noi am traversat uedul Zared.
