Daniel 9:18

O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and look at our desolations and the city which is called by Your name; for we are not presenting our supplications before You because of our own merits and righteousness, but because of Your great mercy and compassion.

O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

“‘Turn your ears our way, God, and listen. Open your eyes and take a long look at our ruined city, this city named after you. We know that we don’t deserve a hearing from you. Our appeal is to your compassion. This prayer is our last and only hope:

Our God, please listen to us. The city that belongs to you has been destroyed. Open your eyes and see it. We aren’t asking you to answer our prayers because we are godly. Instead, we’re asking you to do it because you love us so much.

أَرْهِفْ أُذُنَكَ يَا إِلَهِي وَاسْتَمِعْ، وَافْتَحْ عَيْنَيْكَ وَشَاهِدْ خَرَائِبَنَا وَالْمَدِينَةَ الَّتِي دُعِيَ اسْمُكَ عَلَيْهَا، فَإِنَّنَا لَا مِنْ أَجْلِ بِرٍّ فِينَا نَرْفَعُ تَضَرُّعَاتِنَا إِلَيْكَ، بَلْ بِفَضْلِ مَرَاحِمِكَ الْعَظِيمَةِ.

Vend dit øre til mig og lyt til min bøn! Luk dine øjne op og se den vanære, der har ramt os og Jerusalem, din egen by! Vi beder om nåde, ikke fordi vi har fortjent det, men fordi du er barmhjertig.

Wende dich mir zu und erhöre mich, du, mein Gott! Öffne deine Augen und sieh, wie es um uns steht: Die Stadt, die deinen Namen trägt, liegt in Trümmern. Wir flehen zu dir, nicht weil wir deine Hilfe verdient hätten, sondern weil du gnädig und barmherzig bist.

O mon Dieu, prête l’oreille et écoute, ouvre tes yeux et considère nos ruines, regarde la ville qui t’appartient[e]. Certes, ce n’est pas à cause de nos actions justes que nous t’adressons nos supplications, mais à cause de ton immense compassion !

O Dios, pamatii ako. Tan-awa ang amon makaluluoy nga kahimtangan kag ang pagkaguba sang imo siyudad nga sa diin ginakilala ka nga Dios. Wala kami nagapangamuyo sa imo tungod kay matarong kami, kundi tungod kay nahibaluan namon nga maluluy-on ka gid.

神よ、どうか私の願いを聞いてください。御目を開いて、私たちの惨状をごらんください。神の町がどんなに荒れ果ててしまっているか、よくごらんください。この町はあなたのものであることを、だれもが知っているのです。助けていただくに値する者だからお願いしているのではありません。私たちのどうしようもない罪にもかかわらず、あなたはあわれみに満ちたお方なので、お願いしているのです。

나의 하나님이시여, 귀를 기울여 들으시고 눈을 떠서 처참한 우리의 상황과 황폐한 주의 성을 보소서. 우리가 주께 간구하는 것은 우리가 옳은 일을 행해서가 아니라 주는 자비로우신 분이시기 때문입니다.

God, luister toch naar ons, kijk naar onze miserabele toestand. Kijk eens hoe de stad waaraan uw naam verbonden is, in puin ligt. Wij smeken U dit niet omdat wij zelf zo goed zijn, maar op grond van uw grote barmhartigheid voor ons.

Inclina os teus ouvidos, ó Deus, e ouve; abre os teus olhos e vê a desolação da cidade que leva o teu nome. Não te fazemos pedidos por sermos justos, mas por causa da tua grande misericórdia.

Não te pedimos isso porque pensamos que o merecemos, mas porque confiamos na tua bondade, a despeito da gravidade dos nossos pecados.

Pleacă-Ţi urechea, Dumnezeule, şi ascultă! Deschide-Ţi ochii şi priveşte la ruinele noastre şi la cetatea peste care este chemat Numele Tău! Căci nu datorită faptelor noastre drepte aducem cererile noastre înaintea Ta, ci pentru îndurările Tale cele mari.
