Then, as soon as the king heard these words, he was deeply distressed [over what he had done] and set his mind on rescuing Daniel; and he struggled until the sun went down [trying to work out a way] to save him.

At this, the king was very upset and tried his best to get Daniel out of the fix he’d put him in. He worked at it the whole day long.

När kungen hörde detta, blev han mycket bekymrad och bestämde sig för att försöka rädda Daniel. Ända till solnedgången ansträngde han sig för att komma på något sätt att rädda honom.
