2 Timothy 1:7

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

God gave us his Spirit. And the Spirit doesn’t make us weak and fearful. Instead, the Spirit gives us power and love. He helps us control ourselves.

Kay ang Dios wala maghatag kanato sa iyang Espiritu aron maulaw kita sa pag-atubang sa mga tawo,[a] kondili aron sa paglig-on kanato ug pagtabang nga mahigugma kita sa uban ug makapugong sa atong kaugalingon.
