2 Samuel 16:10

But the king said, “[g]What business is this of yours, O sons of Zeruiah? If Shimei is cursing because the Lord said to him, ‘Curse David,’ then who should say, ‘Why have you done so?’”

And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the Lord hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?

But the king said, “Why are you sons of Zeruiah always interfering and getting in the way? If he’s cursing, it’s because God told him, ‘Curse David.’ So who dares raise questions?” 11-12 “Besides,” continued David to Abishai and the rest of his servants, “my own son, my flesh and bone, is right now trying to kill me; compared to that this Benjaminite is small potatoes. Don’t bother with him; let him curse; he’s preaching God’s word to me. And who knows, maybe God will see the trouble I’m in today and exchange the curses for something good.”

But the king said, “What have I to do with you, O sons of Zeruiah? If he curses, and if the Lord has told him, ‘Curse David,’ then who shall say, ‘Why have you done so?’”

But the king said, “You and Joab are sons of Zeruiah. What does this have to do with you? Maybe the Lord said to him, ‘Curse David.’ If he did, who can ask him, ‘Why are you doing this?’ ”

But the king said, “What does this have to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? If he is cursing because the Lord said to him, ‘Curse David,’ who can ask, ‘Why do you do this?’”

But the king said, ‘What does this have to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? If he is cursing because the Lord said to him, “Curse David,” who can ask, “Why do you do this?”’

“No!” the king said. “Who asked your opinion, you sons of Zeruiah! If the Lord has told him to curse me, who are you to stop him?”

فَقَالَ الْمَلِكُ: «لَيْسَ هَذَا مِنْ شَأْنِكُمْ يَا بَنِي صُرُوِيَّةَ. دَعُوهُ يَشْتِمُ لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَالَ لَهُ اشْتِمْ دَاوُدَ. فَمَنْ يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ: لِمَاذَا تَفْعَلُ هَذَا؟»

„I tænker kun på hævn, Zerujas sønner,” svarede David. „Hvis Herren har givet ham besked på at forbande mig—hvem er da jeg, at jeg skulle standse ham?

Doch David bremste ihn: »Wie oft muss ich es dir und deinem Bruder Joab noch sagen: Ich halte nichts von euren Racheakten! Soll dieser Schimi mich doch beschimpfen! Wenn der Herr es ihm befohlen hat – können wir es ihm dann verbieten?«

กษัตริย์ตรัสห้ามว่า “บุตรนางเศรุยาห์เอ๋ย เจ้าเกี่ยวข้องอะไรกับเรื่องนี้ ถ้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสกับเขาว่า ‘จงแช่งด่าดาวิด’ ใครเล่าจะไปถามว่า ‘ทำไมเจ้าจึงทำอย่างนี้?’ ”

王却说：“洗鲁雅的儿子啊，不要管我的事。如果是耶和华叫他来咒骂我，谁能干涉他呢？”

王 说 ： 洗 鲁 雅 的 儿 子 ， 我 与 你 们 有 何 关 涉 呢 ？ 他 咒 骂 是 因 耶 和 华 吩 咐 他 说 ： 你 要 咒 骂 大 卫 。 如 此 ， 谁 敢 说 你 为 甚 麽 这 样 行 呢 ？

王卻說：「洗魯雅的兒子啊，不要管我的事。如果是耶和華叫他來咒罵我，誰能干涉他呢？」
