2 Kings 7:9

Then they said one to another, “We are not doing the right thing. This is a day of good news, yet we are keeping silent. If we wait until the morning light, some punishment [for not reporting this now] will come on us. So now come, let us go and tell the king’s household.”

Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king's household.

Finally they said to one another, “We shouldn’t be doing this! This is a day of good news and we’re making it into a private party! If we wait around until morning we’ll get caught and punished. Come on! Let’s go tell the news to the king’s palace!”

But then they said to one another, “What we’re doing isn’t right. This is a day of good news. And we’re keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until sunrise, we’ll be punished. Let’s go at once. Let’s report this to the royal palace.”

ثُمَّ قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ: «إِنَّنَا نُخْطِئُ فِيمَا نَفْعَلُ. فَالْيَوْمُ يَوْمُ بِشَارَةٍ وَنَحْنُ سَاكِتُونَ، فَإِنِ انْتَظَرْنَا طُلُوعَ الْفَجْرِ وَلَمْ نُخْبِرْ يَنَالُنَا الْعِقَابُ. فَلْنَدْخُلِ الْمَدِينَةَ وَنُخْبِرْ رِجَالَ قَصْرِ الْمَلِكِ».

Men till slut sa de till varandra: ”Det här är inte rätt. Här sitter vi inne med goda nyheter och låter ingen veta det! Även om vi så bara väntar till i morgon med att berätta dem, kan vi bli straffade. Det är bäst att vi går till kungens palats och talar om vad som har hänt.”
