2 Kings 5:13

Then his servants approached and said to him, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he has said to you, ‘Wash, and be clean?’”

And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?

But his servants caught up with him and said, “Father, if the prophet had asked you to do something hard and heroic, wouldn’t you have done it? So why not this simple ‘wash and be clean’?”

Then his servants came near and spoke to him and said, “My father, had the prophet told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?”

Naaman’s servants went over to him. They said, “You are like a father to us. What if Elisha the prophet had told you to do some great thing? Wouldn’t you have done it? But he only said, ‘Wash yourself. Then you will be pure and “clean.” ’ You should be even more willing to do that!”

But his officers tried to reason with him and said, “Sir,[c] if the prophet had told you to do something very difficult, wouldn’t you have done it? So you should certainly obey him when he says simply, ‘Go and wash and be cured!’”

فَتَقَدَّمَ مِنْهُ رِجَالُهُ وَقَالُوا: «يَا أَبَانَا، لَوْ طَلَبَ النَّبِيُّ مِنْكَ الْقِيَامَ بِأَمْرٍ عَظِيمٍ، أَمَا كُنْتَ تَصْنَعُهُ؟ فَكَمْ بِالأَحْرَى إِنْ قَالَ لَكَ اغْتَسِلْ وَاطْهُرْ؟»

Men hans tjenere forsøgte at tale ham til fornuft. „Hvad nu hvis profeten havde befalet dig at gøre et eller andet vanskeligt?” spurgte de. „Ville du så ikke have gjort det? Hvorfor så ikke gøre, som han siger? Bad dig i floden og bliv helbredt!”

Men hans tjänare gick till honom och sa: ”Min fader, om profeten hade bett dig att göra något svårt, skulle du ha gjort det, eller hur? Därför borde du också lyda honom nu när han säger att du ska göra något så enkelt som att gå och bada för att bli frisk.”

他的仆人上前对他说：“我父啊，先知若吩咐你做一件大事，难道你会不去做吗？何况他只是说你去洗洗就可以洁净！”

他的僕人上前對他說：「我父啊，先知若吩咐你做一件大事，難道你會不去做嗎？何況他只是說你去洗洗就可以潔淨！」
