They destroyed the [walls of the] cities, and each man threw a stone on every piece of good land, covering it [with stones]. And they stopped up all the springs of water and cut down all the good trees, until they left nothing in Kir-hareseth [Moab’s capital city] but its stones. Then the [stone] slingers surrounded the city and destroyed it.

And they beat down the cities, and on every good piece of land cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells of water, and felled all the good trees: only in Kirharaseth left they the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about it, and smote it.

성을 파괴하며 모든 옥토에 돌을 던져 못쓰게 하고 모든 샘을 메우며 좋은 나무들을 베어 버렸다. 그리고 마지막으로 길 – 하레셋만 남았는데 투석병들이 그 성을 포위하고 공격하였다.

De förstörde städerna och kastade sten på de goda åkrarna tills de fyllde dem. De fyllde också igen brunnarna och fällde alla värdefulla träd. Till slut var det bara Kir-Hareset kvar med sina stenar, men också den staden föll när slungkastarna gick till anfall.
