As far as God was concerned Zedekiah was just one more evil king, a carbon copy of Jehoiakim.

وَارْتَكَبَ الشَّرَّ فِي عَيْنَيِ الرَّبِّ، عَلَى غِرَارِ مَا فَعَلَ يَهُويَاقِيمُ.

Han gjorde, hvad der var ondt i Herrens øjne, ligesom Jojakim havde gjort.

Wie Jojakim tat auch Zedekia, was dem Herrn missfiel.
