2 Kings 23:8

Then Josiah brought all the [idolatrous] priests from the cities of Judah, and desecrated the high places where the priests had burned incense [to idols], from Geba to Beersheba, [that is, north to south]; and he tore down the high places of the gates which were at the entrance of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on one’s left at the city gate.

And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city.

وَاسْتَدْعَى يُوشِيَّا جَمِيعَ الْكَهَنَةِ مِنْ مُدُنِ يَهُوذَا، وَدَنَّسَ كُلَّ أَمَاكِنِ الْعِبَادَةِ الْوَثَنِيَّةِ فِي التِّلالِ، حَيْثُ كَانَ الْكَهَنَةُ يُوقِدُونَ مِنْ جَبَعَ إِلَى بِئْرِ سَبْعٍ، وَهَدَمَ الْمُرْتَفَعَاتِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ قَائِمَةً عِنْدَ مَدْخَلِ قَصْرِ يَشُوعَ مُحَافِظِ الْمَدِينَةِ، إِلَى الْجَانِبِ الأَيْسَرِ مِنْ بَابِ الْمَدِينَةِ.

Alle Herrens præster blev indkaldt fra de byer rundt omkring i Juda, hvor de opholdt sig, og alle offerstederne på bakketoppene, hvor disse præster havde foretaget ofringer, blev sløjfet, lige fra Geba i nord til Be’ersheba i syd. Der var et alter i Jerusalem til venstre, når man går ind ad byporten ved Jehoshuas, borgmesterens, hus. Også det blev ødelagt.

Josia holte alle levitischen Priester aus ganz Juda nach Jerusalem zurück und entweihte alle Götzenopferstätten, in denen sie bisher geopfert hatten – von Geba im Norden Judas bis Beerscheba im Süden. Auch die beiden Altäre bei dem Stadttor, das nach dem Stadtobersten Joschua benannt war, riss er nieder. Sie standen auf der linken Seite, wenn man zum Tor hereinkam.

Il fit venir tous les prêtres des villes de Juda. Il profana les hauts lieux depuis Guéba jusqu’à Beer-Sheva[c] où les prêtres brûlaient des parfums. Il fit aussi démolir les sanctuaires construits près des portes des villes, en particulier celui qui se trouvait à l’entrée de la porte de Josué, le gouverneur de la ville, et qui était sur la gauche en entrant par la porte de la ville.

Ginpabalik ni Josia sa Jerusalem ang tanan nga pari nga nagaestar sa iban nga mga banwa sang Juda. Gindagtaan niya ang mga simbahan sa mataas nga mga lugar, halin sa Geba hasta sa Beersheba, sa diin nagasunog ang mga pari sang mga insenso. Hij haalde de priesters van de Here, die al die tijd in de andere steden van Juda hadden gewoond, terug naar Jeruzalem en verwoestte alle altaren op de heuvels waar men reukwerk had verbrand, zelfs in uithoeken als Geba en Berseba. Eenzelfde lot trof de altaren bij de ingang van het paleis van Jozua, de vroegere stadsbestuurder, dat bij de binnenkomst door de stadspoort aan de linkerkant ligt.

Josias trouxe todos os sacerdotes das cidades de Judá e, desde Geba até Berseba, profanou os altares onde os sacerdotes haviam queimado incenso. Derrubou os altares idólatras junto às portas, inclusive o altar da entrada da porta de Josué, o governador da cidade, que fica à esquerda da porta da cidade.

Tornou a mandar vir para Jerusalém os sacerdotes de Deus, que viviam noutras cidades de Judá, e destruiu todos os santuários pagãos onde se queimava incenso aos ídolos, mesmo os que estavam muito distantes, como em Geba e em Berseba. Destruiu igualmente os santuários pagãos à entrada do palácio de Josué, o antigo governador da cidade de Jerusalém, à esquerda de quem entra pela porta da cidade.

Iosia i-a izgonit pe toţi preoţii din cetăţile lui Iuda şi a distrus înălţimile unde preoţii ardeau tămâie, de la Gheva până la Beer-Şeba. A dărâmat, de asemenea, înălţimile[e] de la porţi, cele care erau la intrarea porţii lui Iosua, conducătorul cetăţii, în partea stângă a porţii cetăţii.

Josia lät hämta alla Herrens präster från Judas städer och orenade offerplatserna där de hade tänt offereld, från Geva till Beer Sheva. Han rev ner offerplatserna vid portarna, vid Josuas, Jerusalems borgmästares, port, som ligger till vänster om stadsporten.
