2 Kings 23:5

He got rid of the idolatrous priests whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense [to pagan gods] in the high places in Judah’s cities and all around Jerusalem—also those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun, to the moon, to the constellations [of the zodiac], and to all the [starry] host of heaven.

And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven.

He did away with the idolatrous priests whom the kings of Judah had appointed to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah and in the surrounding area of Jerusalem, also those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun and to the moon and to the constellations and to all the host of heaven.

Josiah got rid of the priests who served other gods. The kings of Judah had appointed those priests to burn incense. They burned the incense on the high places of the towns of Judah. And they burned it on the high places around Jerusalem. They burned incense to honor Baal and the sun and moon. They burned it to honor all the stars.

He did away with the idolatrous priests appointed by the kings of Judah to burn incense on the high places of the towns of Judah and on those around Jerusalem—those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun and moon, to the constellations and to all the starry hosts.

They had also offered sacrifices to Baal, and to the sun, the moon, the constellations, and to all the powers of the heavens.

وَأَبَادَ كَهَنَةَ الأَصْنَامِ الَّذِينَ أَقَامَهُمْ مُلُوكُ يَهُوذَا لِيُوْقِدُوا عَلَى مَذَابِحِ الْمُرْتَفَعَاتِ فِي مُدُنِ يَهُوذَا وَضَوَاحِي أُورُشَلِيمَ، وَكَذَلِكَ قَضَى عَلَى الْكَهَنَةِ الَّذِينَ يُحْرِقُونَ لِلْبَعْلِ وَلِلشَّمْسِ وَالْقَمَرِ وَلِلأَبْرَاجِ الْفَلَكِيَّةِ وَلِسَائِرِ الْكَوَاكِبِ.

Desuden afsatte han alle de afgudspræster, som kongerne før ham havde indsat, alle dem, der havde bragt ofre til afguderne på offerhøjene rundt omkring i landet og i selve Jerusalem, alle, som havde ofret til Ba’al, solen, månen eller stjernerne.

그는 또 유다 왕들이 유다 전역과 예루살렘 일대에 지어 놓은 산당에서 분향하도록 세운 제사장들을 제거하고 또 바알과 해와 달과 별들에게 분향하는 사람들을 모조리 죽였다.

Hij zette de valse priesters af, die waren aangesteld door de vroegere koningen van Juda. Zij hadden reukwerk verbrand op de heuvels door heel Juda en zelfs in Jeruzalem. Tevens hadden zij reukwerk geofferd aan Baäl en aan de zon, de maan en de sterren.

E eliminou os sacerdotes pagãos nomeados pelos reis de Judá para queimarem incenso nos altares idólatras das cidades de Judá e dos arredores de Jerusalém, aqueles que queimavam incenso a Baal, ao sol e à lua, às constelações e a todos os exércitos celestes.

Também matou os sacerdotes do culto idólatra, nomeados para tal pelos anteriores reis de Judá, pois tinham queimado incenso nos santuários pagãos, em toda a terra de Judá e mesmo em Jerusalém. Também esses tinham oferecido incenso a Baal, ao Sol, à Lua, às estrelas e aos planetas.

Josia avsatte också de avgudapräster som Juda kungar hade tillsatt för att tända offereldar på offerplatserna över hela Juda och omkring Jerusalem, alla de som hade bränt rökelse till Baal, solen, månen, stjärnorna och himlens hela härskara.
