2 Kings 18:26

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna and Joah, said to the Rabshakeh, “Please speak to your servants in the Aramaic (Syrian) language, because we understand it; and do not speak with us in the Judean (Hebrew) language in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”

Then said Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebna, and Joah, unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, to thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and talk not with us in the Jews' language in the ears of the people that are on the wall.

Eliakim son of Hilkiah and Shebna and Joah said to the Rabshakeh, “Please, speak to us in the Aramaic language. We understand Aramaic. Don’t speak in Hebrew—everyone crowded on the city wall can hear you.”

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, and Shebnah and Joah, said to Rabshakeh, “Speak now to your servants in Aramaic, for we [q]understand it; and do not speak with us in [r]Judean in the hearing of the people who are on the wall.”

Then Shebna, Joah and Eliakim, the son of Hilkiah, spoke to the field commander. They said, “Please speak to us in the Aramaic language. We understand it. Don’t speak to us in Hebrew. If you do, the people sitting on the city wall will be able to understand you.”

Then Eliakim son of Hilkiah, and Shebna and Joah said to the field commander, “Please speak to your servants in Aramaic, since we understand it. Don’t speak to us in Hebrew in the hearing of the people on the wall.”

Then Eliakim son of Hilkiah, Shebna, and Joah said to the Assyrian chief of staff, “Please speak to us in Aramaic, for we understand it well. Don’t speak in Hebrew,[g] for the people on the wall will hear.”

فَقَالَ أَلْيَاقِيمُ بْنُ حِلْقِيَّا وَشِبْنَةُ وَيُوَاخُ لِقَائِدِ الْجَيْشِ: «خَاطِبْ عَبِيدَكَ بِالأَرَامِيَّةِ لأَنَّنَا نَفْهَمُهَا، وَلا تُخَاطِبْنَا بِاللُّغَةِ الْيَهُودِيَّةِ لِئَلّا يَسْمَعَ الشَّعْبُ الْمُتَجَمِّعُ عَلَى السُّورِ».

„Vær venlig at tale til os på det aramæiske sprog,[b] for det forstår vi godt,” bad Eljakim, Shebna og Joa. „Tal ikke hebraisk, så længe alle vores folk kan høre jer.”

Alors Eliaqim, fils de Hilqiya, Shebna et Yoah dirent à l’aide de camp assyrien : Voudrais-tu, s’il te plaît, parler à tes serviteurs en langue araméenne[i], car nous la comprenons. Ne nous parle pas en hébreu alors que les gens sont là, sur les remparts, à écouter !

Nagsiling si Eliakim, Shebna, kag Joa sa kumander, “Palihog maghambal ka sa amon sa lingguahe nga Aramico, kay naintiendihan namon ini. Indi ka maghambal sa Hebreo kay mabatian ka sang mga tawo nga ara sa mga pader sang siyudad.”

Eljakim, Sebna en Joah zeiden tegen hem: ‘U kunt rustig Aramees spreken, want wij spreken die taal ook. Gebruik geen Hebreeuws, anders verstaan de mensen op de muren u.’

Então Eliaquim, filho de Hilquias, Sebna e Joá disseram ao comandante de campo: “Por favor, fala com teus servos em aramaico, porque entendemos essa língua. Não fales em hebraico, pois assim o povo que está sobre os muros o entenderá”.

Então Eliaquim, filho de Hilquias, Sebna e Joá responderam-lhe: “Pedimos-te que fales em aramaico, porque compreendemos esse idioma. Não uses o hebraico, para que o povo que está sobre as muralhas não perceba.”

Atunci Eliachim, fiul lui Hilchia, Şebna şi Ioah i-au răspuns lui Rab-Şache:– Vorbeşte, te rugăm, slujitorilor tăi în limba aramaică[h], pentru că o înţelegem, şi nu ne vorbi în limba iudaică[i], în auzul poporului care este pe zid!

Eljakim, Hilkias son, Shevna och Joach svarade den assyriske befälhavaren: ”Tala arameiska till oss, dina tjänare, för det kan vi förstå. Tala inte på hebreiska, för då kommer folket på muren att höra det.”

แล้วเอลียาคิมบุตรฮิลคียาห์ เชบนาและโยอาห์กล่าวแก่แม่ทัพนั้นว่า “โปรดพูดกับผู้รับใช้ของท่านเป็นภาษาอารเมคเถิด เพราะเราฟังเข้าใจ อย่าใช้ภาษาฮีบรูเลย เดี๋ยวผู้คนบนกำแพงจะได้ยิน”

以利亚敬、舍伯那和约亚对亚述的将军说：“求你用亚兰语跟仆人们说话，我们都听得懂。求你不要用希伯来语跟我们说话，免得城墙上的人听见。”
